Self assign IP

Question

What i nedd to install to make internet wok.

Motherboard: ASUS m4n78SE

Processor: AMD Athlon II x2 240 Processor 2.80 GHz

RAM: 3GB

I have installed Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Internet does not work. Then i installed NVenabler and other NVidia kexts and it seems work. The problem is that I always get the "Self-assigned IP address" error report, where the computer somehow ends up with a 169.x.x.x IP address. I tried to put in an IP address manually, and though it then says "connected", I cannot get an internet connection.

Maybe i need another kexts etc. ???
