Intel Ultrabook... it WORKS!
3 3

Question

I have tried iAtkos & Unibeast on my Intel Ultrabook i7 and it seemed impossible to install 10.8 or 10.9... until I got Niresh!

10.9 booted perfectly on the first try, without adding any extra options... even sound & cpu monitor & bluetooth works out of the box!

The only 3 things missing are the battery (always shows 0%), trackpad and the wifi. I have not tried any external kexts until now. any suggestions?

I also have an external usb realtek 8188 wifi that used to work on 10.8 so maybe that would be a solution.

Thanks Deepak, I did some searching on the Intel Forums and its seems that the Touchpad is by Synaptic.

I managed to find the USB with Windows drivers that came with the Ultrabook!

Wifi is Intel ProWireless 5100AGN so I think this is not going to work.

I have a RealTek 8188 USB wifi and this worked perfectly.

However now I have the "Appstore not able to log" problem! As the Ultrabook has NO ethernet!!!!!

The synaptics kexts did not work maybe the touchpad is something else....

Touchpad works!

I used the Synaptics kexts and Fixed Cache with Kext Wizard (there was some conflct with VoodooPS2 drivers for keyboard)

Last 2 problems are Appstore & Battery%

this is the 3rd 10.9 hackintosh i did! Niresh is amazing!

i don't know if sleep/wake can be made to work automatically when the laptop cover is closed/opened

its not that important but would be great!

@bjadams

Fixing sleep on a hackintosh is rarely straight forward. A DSDT patch maybe be required if you do wish to traverse through that path. Otherwise just install caffeine to prevent your hackintosh from going to sleep.
