There is a way to solve it without using code... You should use Chameleon as bootloader or Clover (I tested only with Chameleon)

Download Clover Configurator
Download Chameleon i386 binary source (google)

Run Clover Configurator and when it says to you to mount EFI partition click Yes and insert your psw.

You will see on your desktop a drive called EFi so enter inside it and erase everything is there.

Now extract the content of the i386 folder inside the EFI partition and also copy your /Extra folder (contained in the main directory of your hard disk)

You can use Chameleon Wizard to edit your chameleon.plist (contained in EFI partition) and also manage themes (contained in Extra folder)

Let me know and if you can't solve this I will help you with screenshots... Try and try!

Cheers
