Booting Yosemite-zone.dmg in intel i3 4th Gen. Haswell processor
1 1

Question

I have Acer ES-571-33Ys laptop having Intel i3-4030U CPU (4th Generation) with Intel HD Graphics 4440.

I have installed Yosemite-zone.dmg (10.10.1) with patched haswell kernel  in my hard drive partition. But I cannot boot from the hard drive as the screen becomes black & power goes off quickly and then starts rebooting. This process goes on continuously. Why this is happening?

Also I want to know, while booting from USB what boot args shall I type and how to copy & replace patched haswell kernel with terminal command. Can I replace patched haswell kernel with transmac? How to do it?

You must boot from USB after installing, Go to Utilities -> terminal

replace "MAC OS" with the partition installed mac

cp -f /Volumes/"Image Volume"/haswell /Volumes/"Mac OS"/System/Library/Kernels/kernel

rm -rf /Volumes/"Mac OS"/System/Library/Caches
kextcache -u /Volumes/"Mac OS"
