Hi there

i have exactly same problem. AMD FX8350 + R9 280 Saphire + ASUS M5A97 EVO Ver. 2.0.

This combination works fine with Niresh 10.9.0 with some minor kext changes.

Is problem this VoodooTSCsync.kext or the next file loaded? I tried USB and DVD install method , same error.

Last line displayd during install before PC boots itself :

"Read HFS+ file: [en(15,0)/System/Library/Extensions/VoodooTSCsync.kext/Contents/MacOS/VoodooTSCsync] 33384 bytes."

i may try to use other VoodooTSCsync.kext instead by modifying ISO image/USB.

I might try this from Insanelymac.com:  "AMD replace kext for Yosemite" as in your earlier post, Steven.

Mavericks 10.9.0 works really fine with this PC... Update to 10.9.5 might be better to do than Yosemite..

Hmm... Same problem with other AMD processor  (T1100 X6) with ASUS M4A87TD board.

This time PC boots itself  later after  VoodooTSCSync.kext when

"Starting Darwin x86_64" is displayed - boot...

I used Apr 15 2015 09:48 AM updated version of

boot option tried various combo's: -amd64  -x   cpus=1 or 0 or 2 (etc) GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No IGPEnabler=Yes/No

bios: bus speed / ratio manual, C1E disabled,  vm support disabled, cool 'n quiet disabled, S3 / AHCI enabled.
