Stuck in Clover Boot Menu / possible GPU issue?
0

Question

hey guys,
got a running hackintosh (OS X Lion) and would love to do a clean install of Yosemite or El Capitan, here are the specs:

EVGA SR-X Mainboard
2x 6core intel xeon e5 2ghz
geforce gtx 580 sc

I think I got all the BIOS settings right, I get to the Clover boot menu, but from there I can't get to the actual installer.

using -v as flag, it states:
Error allocating 0x800 pages at 0x000000000b400000 alloc type 2
Error loading kernel cache (0x9)
Boot failed, sleeping for 20 seconds before exiting...

using -v as flag and InjectNVidia OFF, it states:
Read error 0xc
Error lading kernel cache
Boot failed, sleeping for 20 seconds before exiting...

people have suggested removing the GPU during installation, however, since the SR-X doesn't have any video out onboard that's a bit tricky...

I've also tried using the hackintosh.zone Yosemite-Zone.dmg and got stuck after the boot option menu (HDD or USB) on a grey screen stating: can't find /mach_kernel or so. no visible option to enter any flags, so I ditched that option..

any idea how I can get that thing up and running? if it really has to do with the GPU, what can I do to disable it if I have no onboard video out?

appreciating any help, thanks in advance!!
