"Can't find amd/amdfx/amd64/anyother kernel"

Question

I just finished the installation about an hour ago. Everything went smoothly, however when I rebooted, the apple came up, the screen went black after some time, and then back to a light-grey color, then nothing. I figured this was a panic, so I tried booting with the flags suggested ( amd -v, amd64 -v, amdfx -v) but the top says "Can't find /amd" or  "Can't find /amdfx". I can't get passed the light grey screen and into the desktop. I feel like I'm so close, so please help me :D

CPU: AMD FX-8320

RAM: 8 GB Corsair Vengence

MB: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 (rev. 3.0)

GPU: GTX 660

-Thanks for any help

If you are successful install Mavericks, and when boot get´s an black screen, only use "GraphicsEnabler=No -v" when pass the welcome configuration wait for niresh configure all and then restart the pc normaly, now you can use the GraphicsEnabler=Yes

if your graphics card is not supported or if you want to temporarily disable graphics card by selecting backup all graphics extensions package (means you can see desktop but no QE/CI Accelerations)

I tried what you said and it worked... almost. I get to the user account setup screen and randomly each time I get This:

"panic (cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7f8156fcc9): No HPETs avaiable...CPU(s) configured incorrectly"

This always happens sometime before it can fully setup the computer

    • Hi guys. Well, this is my second day of troubles, I touched everything, I installed max like 5 times in the same day, trying to figure out things and well. My Mac it display my graphic card on the #About this Mac tab With 2047MB ( So I guess all is right ) I installed the latest nvida drivers and on clover I activated the NvidaWeb. The problem is the resolution. Max resolution allowed is 1280 x 1024 and 800 x 600. I used to boot with nvd_drv 1 with nvd dry 0, I used to boot with all that things, and without them.  BUT No way to fix the resolution. Someone knows what-s going wrong and how can I fix it? Bdw im using iMac14,2 and OS X Sierra 10.12.3 Im connecting to the screen with DVI adapter. ( Maybe that causes the problem ) But it shows Im running 2047 MB so... idk why I can't change resolution. Thanks! ================================= SOLVED EDIT: Hi guys, in Display Resolution, I just set it in "Default for display" and after that pressing "THE WINDOWS BUTTON KEY, IN MY CASE, IDK WHAT KEY IS THAT IN MAC KEYBOARD, I THINK THE CONTROL ONE OR IDK" PRESSING that key I selected Scaled, and it appears more options and resolutions. There is a video on youtube about that called "Mac OS X Display Resolution" If someone has the same trouble.
