Hackintosh on VmWare Workstation for Desktop PC - Mouse acts like trackpad and jerks around the screen

Question

After many days of tinkering on my ASUS m4a88t-m/usb3, I finally got Niresh 10.9.0 Installed successfully in a VMware Workstation (version 10) VM. But the mouse is not working 100% to be usable because it acts like a trackpad and the mouse jumps around sporadically clicking and selecting.. I know for a fact that that it may be a Kext or driver issue, because it works in the setup screen before you initiate the install. This issue makes it even harder to fix the issue since you need the mouse to fix this type of issue within the GUI. I am wondering if there is a workaround to fix this issue, without trying to fix it through the already installed VM? Is there any way easily to get the driverkext into settings for my mouse before the install of the MAC OS X initiation. I am able to navigate a little with just keyboard in the GUI.. although navigating with just the keyboard is a lot different than windows so I am having issues.. I was able to navigate to the settings -> mouse and trackpad both say none are installed... so not even sure what it thinks my input device is. Anyways.. any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you!

P.S. Any other info you need please let me know!

I figured it out! What a really weird fix. I found this solution from another post I discovered through a lot of research! I cannot believe it truly was a simple fix. I made sure to select on my VMware for the OS I was installing as:
"Microsoft Windows 7 64Bit" after that I selected the correct options in the "Customize" before the install, and man what an amazing result!!

    • Hello everyone,  I'm trying to install High Sierra (with AMD support) on my AMD 4500m Lenovo G505s laptop. When booting from Clover in EFI with i get some really fast screen log then the pc reboots. Now, i know there isn't a way you could help me without some info/logs, unless i'm missing a major malfunction known on these kind of laptops, so, do you know a way i could prevent it from rebooting in order to at least understand what is causing this problem? Do you think even trying to put OSX on this laptop is worth it? Thank you.
    • Hello, i am trying to install High Sierra on my ASUS X75VB but i am getting multiple errors with the ACPI.
I believe it is CPU related?

      Mainboard: HM76 (X75VB SOCKET 0)
CPU: Intel Core i5 3320m (Not the original CPU of this laptop!)
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000 & NVIDIA 2GB Geforce 740M
      RAM: DDR3 8GB
      Storage: 120GB SSD (SATA-2)

I have used the DSDT.aml & SSDT.aml from the following resource:
       https://github.com/xxx10101xxx/ThinkPad-X230-macOS/tree/master/i5-3320M

My config.plst can be found here:

      Thanks in advance!

    • I have Yosemite Zone working on Virtualbox fine.  After downloading High Sierra Zone there is only a dmg and no ISO.  I tried converting the dmg with hdiutil but it goes to 8GB and I get "no bootable media" in Virtualbox.  Has anyone been able to do this yet?
