Distorted graphics Yosemite 10.10.0

Martimar    0

Hi there,

I have been attempting to get a working Yosemite zone on my laptop.

It is a Metabox (Clevo) P150EM.

As you can see the attached image shows a distorted and stretched screen. Changing resolutions does not resolve this either.

Computer Specs:

Intel Core i7 3610QM @ 2.3GHz

16GB DDR3 1600MHz Ram

AMD Radeon 7970m (I know this will not work in OS X)

Intel HD 4000

750GB 7200RPM Secondary HDD

When the screen is distorted like this, I get the best performance with the Intel HD 4000.. When i try different bootflags (0x1660004 etc) the intel HD only shows 3 - 7mb of video ram.

When i try and install the Intel Capri drivers from this website, OS X will not boot (hangs at Bluetooth)

Does anyone know what is going on? If so please help!

@Martimar are you trying 10.10 or 10.10.1 version?

have you tried IntelCapriFB=3?

Backup AMD Graphics Extensions

Hi Niresh,

Thank you for this awesome Distro!

I am using 10.10.1.. I have seemed to have fixed the distorted screen (had to add device id properties to my boot plist and install this driver: http://www.hackintoshosx.com/file/4458-intel-hd-3000-4000-video-smooth-10101/

However i cannot get QE/CI to run, i am getting horrible flickering in Google Chrome when i move the mouse or type.

I cannot get the DVD player to work either.

Can you please help me get QE/CI running so i can finally ditch windows!

I have attached 2 screenshots and below is my plist.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>kext-dev-mode=1 PCIRootUID=1</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
