    • Maverick Freezing i'm very new to all of this and I just finished installing mavericks OS on my PC and used the amd -v to start the installation and stuff after the long wait on the installation to finish when im setting up the mac preferences (ex. choosing what country you live in, user login info) my comp freezes after 30 seconds every time, i restart the comp and the moment I see the setup screen I have 30 seconds till it freezes again Specs 64-bit AMD FX Quad core 3.6 ghz I also have a graphics card but im not sure of which one (computer was given to me) Vengeance Ram x2 8gb (16gb) Gigabyte motherboard not sure which one exactly at the moment     I don't know if having graphicenabler on makes a different or not but I forgot to mess with the settings before I selected which drive to install on, ive been seeing some stuff around about a bootflag? but I have no idea what that is or how to get it
    • Help with Intel G530 graphics @Niresh I need your help please! On my desktop computer I have an Asrock H61M-VS mobo with Intel Celeron G530 CPU and integrated graphics. The only successful Hackintosh installation I’ve ever done is the one with your Sierra distro 10.12.3 in which graphics works perfectly. I wanted to ask you what did you put in your distro to make also G530 integrated graphics working. With every other way to install Hackintosh on a pc I’m unable to get to the installer as I’m stuck in verbose mode due to unsupported graphics. Please answer me, thank you so much!
    • Yes truely its possible to upgrade its kinda hard todo because if you have AMD Proccessor you need to wait until niresh releases a new hackintosh distro. and then make a backupwith time machine and install the newer mac from usb and then you will be asked to have your old data back from windows machine or from your old mac version which if you choose from mac all data will be copied to your new sierra from yosemite so you don't need to lose any data or backup everything on a different usb drive and then use time machine to recover files from usb if its possible because i never use time machine. If you don't want to recover any data then just click on configure as new mac. And it is safe to download app store updates if you have a good intel processor if you have amd you need to use a custom kernel which somebody has patched.   Just search on google with this search term: (example) hackintosh sierra amd patched kernel update 10.12.6 is the latest or you want to update yosemite to 10.10.5 search for update patched kernels amd 10.10.5   https://www.google.nl/search?q=amd+kernel+patched+hackintosh+yosemite+10.10.5&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiv5teI6ZzVAhUMmBoKHaHrAkQQ_AUICSgA&biw=1920&bih=925&dpr=1 Here is the search term i already have for you if its only what you need the search term i used =: amd kernel patched hackintosh yosemite 10.10.5 Or find on youtube a good video how to upgrade a hackintosh yosemite to sierra
    • Loos like a kext eror or a missing dependencie try to boot with -x for safe mode it disabled dangerous kexts to boot mac without issues and maybe by updating or find another or delete the highlighted kext that is causing a kernel panic   try also when you setup the mac try also with: -v -x xcpm kext-dev-mode=1 maybe that should initialize all kexts. Mostly a kernel panic will come if a kexts is required for booting the system is corrupted, missing or you must to update the kext because its outdated or you need to downgrade the kext to older version using kext wizard doesnt matter to install older or newer kexts supported for your lapotp model or desktop and the right mavericks so your system could boot normally.   i looked up for ya the patched kernel you use i think its not supported with your cpu and i think that will only cause more problems.   Bronzovka's (A.K.A. Bronyas) 10.9.0 mach_kernel_rc7     AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 AMD Opteron™ Processor 3350 HE AMD FX-8320 AMD FX-8350 AMD FX-8150 AMD Athlon™ X2 340 AMD Phenom II X4 955 [Black Edition] AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Intel Paxville Xeon DP AMD A8-4500m APU Others (Maybe others like i3 i5 i7 maybe not pentium D) im not sure but try to use the vanilla way. And the kernel extensions one of them are faulty. Like it says kernel extension in backtraces. i think you found your problem by download and replace the corrupted com.apple.kec.CoreCrypto kext which maybe can be found in /System/Library/Extensions so first try to reinstall from usb with original niresh kernel dont use amd kernel because you have intel and after it says installation complete... restart ETA like 10 seconds click restart you see a chameleon bootloader so as you mentioned in your problem then try -v -x xcpm npci=0x2000 dart=0 then setup the mac and reboot without -x  see if that works.

Hi, can you please tell me how you got the 10.10 image ( not 10.10.1 ) to work. I have an AMD CPU ( Phenom II X6 ) but I can't disable UEFI for it so I'm stuck on the 10.10 image that uses Clover, Chameleon won't work for me.
In the Chameleon tutorial it says to pass /amd as a command line arg fost instance but I'm not sure where to put this in Clover.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sorry i wasnt that clear  to state if its 10.10 or 10.10.1

i have used the  10.10.1

and also on my Mother board i didnt disable the uefi

i have used this  10.10.1.dmg.zip

  link

https://www.hackintosh.zone/file/810-nireshs-yosemite-with-amd-intel/

i prepared the USB first  as  per the instruction on this page

http://www.givemesome.tips/about/hackintosh/nireshs-yosemite-with-intel-amd-installation-instructions-and-guide-160/

then booted my machine using  F2 and then F8 select My USB

then  loaded the available Boot loaded in my case chameleon did the Job (note i didnt do anything to make it load the nice people  who made the image had  it  pre-loaded many thanks to Niresh)

Used the boot flag  /amd64 npci=0x2000 -V

and i was able to get the  installation page

good luck :D

Thank you very much. Unfortunately for me 10.10.1 will just not boot and there's nothing I can do about it... I've managed to create a bootable USB with Clover and that one boots but I'm unsure how to make it use the AMD kernel ... maybe I'll do some work on the dmg to make the AMD kernel default.

no worries  then  get 10.10

and  use Chamelon enoch and that should patch in a a boot loader

try to access the  folder  system /Library/kernel

and use this put in this kernel

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/354-amd-replace-kext-for-yosemite/

this AMD kernel worked for me

update  us if it worked

Thanks for everything. It turns out that 10.10.1 was not booting because Chameleon didn't like one of the other driver I had attached. I removed that one and could boot afterwards ( wiped it clean with a quick low level format afterwards just destroying partitions and MBR and connceted it ).
After installed the 10.10.1 Niresh image I could only boot with -x but some kexts I found in the insanely AMD testing fixed that and now all's fine.

According to online reports your GT740 should work. You need to replace a few kexts though ( do it with Kext Wizard and don't forget to recreate the cache ).

 http://www.partage-facile.com/80FUDWCI4B/yo.zip.html

Also you need to replace the kernel ( as mentioned in the Niresh guide for Yosemite ) but use the kernel found in  this zip file.

Then assuming the ID for you card are in the nvidia kexts ( search online how to check for that or add them if needed ) you need to disable graphics enabler from the Chameleon config file ( forgot where that was , something with Extra I think ) and all should be fine after a reboot.

This zip is for the 10.10.3 version but probably works with 10.1.1. You could update to 10.10.3 first I suppose but that might you system not boot in which case you need transmac or something to change the kernel or whatever needs changing.
