What is "halt enabler" in clover cpu options

Question

What is "halt enabler" in clover cpu options

So, this is kind of a basic question, but I am relatively new to this.  What is the "halt enabler" option in under cpu settings in clover?  If that is checked, does that mean that all 4 cores of my cpu will not be utilized?  The reason I ask is that this box is checked by default in clover for me and I can't seem to find that option in clover configurator to turn it off.

Thanks.

It works as OpenHaltRestart, clearing SLP_SMI_EN at start of OSX system.

I appreciate the response, but I am a bit too novice at this to fully understand what your response means. Basically, I am just wondering if that particular setting is nerfing my CPU by disabling cores.

As far as i know from the term OpenHaltRestart, it was a kext used to enable/fix Shutdown and Reboot functions work properly in Hackintosh

That doesn't disable any of your CPU Cores :)
