[Solved] Error Loading Kernel Cache (0xe)

Question

Error Loading Kernel Cache (0xe)

Hi there,

as soon as I try to boot the MacOS Sierra installer I get the error: Error Loading Kernel Cache (0xe). Booting without kernel caches still result in the exact same problem. I've been having this error for so long and I can't find the solution, please help! :headbang:

All I did was deselect all option with spacebar when booting the installer. For some reason it worked. Removing aptio didn't work though. Reinstalling now.

I'm sorry; my specs are as follows;

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68x-UD4-B3 U1E UEFI bios.
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 FE
  • Ram: 32GB unspecified memory.

I boot with clover

Holding the button 6 leads to no result. See error at:

The above issue can be fixed by deleting OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi from the clover folder, Keep me updated

This is happening because you have installed FakeSMC GPU Sensor plugin, FakeSMC Plugins are not required

You can try two options

Reinstall without selecting any FakeSMC Plugins

or

Boot with -s [Single User Mode][try to combine -s with -x ] and execute the following commands if possible (Sometimes you may have kernel panics)

mount -uw /
rm -rf /Library/Extensions/FakeSMC_GPUSensors.kext
kextcache -i /
reboot

How did you manage to Install, Could you list the steps please

Have you already tried the so called "Save Boot Mode" ?

Follow these steps to start up into Safe Mode.

Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be pressed as soon as possible after startup, but not before the startup sound.
Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo appear on the screen.
After the Apple logo appears, it may take longer than usual to reach the login screen. This is because your computer is performing a directory check as part of Safe Mode.
To leave Safe Mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

Check Lenovo G580 Manual for more help.
