  1. Alright, I have the Mavericks distro and working great on VB. Just a few minor issues, sound and About This Mac, but they are all issues I can live with. I tried installing the 10.10.1 distro both USB and ISO and cannot get either to work. The installation hangs up with two minutes remaining every time. I attached the -v screenshot and hopefully someone can decipher it. Here is what I am working with: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz Dell Inc. 0X501H board with Intel X58 chipset 8GB DDR3 RAM ATI Radeon HD 5870 Most people I've talked to say this looks like a graphics issue, but can't offer anymore. This might be a stupid question, but can I upgrade to Yosemite through the app store? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Not a huge deal I suppose, but rather annoying. Every time I try and click About This Mac from the apple menu I am automatically logged out. Any ideas what might cause this? Anyone else with the same issue?
  3. No sound or iMessage.

UPDATE: I have the sound working better but it still skips and is loaded with static. I'm not sure what is going on.
  4. No sound or iMessage.

Hey all! First off I appreciate any help this post provides, and of course this amazing distro. So I am having a few issues. I am running on 10.9 on Virtual Box and I'm not sure what is going on with my Audio or iMessage. I have no sound and iMessage will not allow me to login. I tried updating to 10.10 and 10.10.1 both stall with 2 minutes left in the installation so I have given up on them. Does anyone know if these issues can be resolved within VB or if there are certain kexts I have to change out? I am still pretty new to this. Here is what I am working with: Intel Core i7 920 Dell Inc., 0X501H Intel X58 chipset 8GB RAM ATI Radeon HD 5870
  5. Intel Core i7 920 Dell Inc. 0X501H Motherboard Intel X58 Chipset 8GB RAM ATI Radeon HD 5870 I am running the distro through Virtual Box and everything seems to work fine except for the sound and iMessage. Internet and the rest of the programs are working fine. Can't really figure it out. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
  6. USB will not load.

It is not. It is an XPS 9000 that I bought in 2010. Maybe 2009.
  7. USB will not load.

    Yes. Dell XPS.
  8. USB Will Not Load

Hey all, Intel Core i7 920 ATI Radeon HD 5870 Intel X58 DW1525 (802.11n) WLAN PCIe Card AMD HD Audio Device I am having some problems with the Yosemite install. I have Mavericks installed on VB and am starting the YosemiteZone installer from USB. I tried the .iso file but that would always freeze with two minutes left. I have tried some boot flags from the UniBeast screen and also tried without any flags. Some have been saying this is a graphics issue. I will attach the -v screenshot and hopefully someone can help me out. I appreciate all the help!
  9. USB will not load.

Hey. Sorry about that. Here is what I am working with. Board is a Dell 0X501H Intel X58 chipset. Intel Core i7 920 with an ATI Radeon HD 5870. I have tried several boot flags with no luck. The installer keeps stopping at the same point. The ones I have used have been: -v PCIRootUID=0 and 1, GraphicsEnabler=Yes and No, npci=0x3000 and dart=0.
  10. USB will not load.

Hey all, Having some problems with the Yosemite install. I have Mavericks installed on VirtualBox and am starting from the USB. When I get to the UniBeast screen I've tried starting without flags and also with a few of the bigger ones. I'm not sure what is holding up installation. I'll attach the -v screenshot and hopefully someone can figure it out. I appreciate all the help.
  11. Hey all, Apologize ahead of time for the stupidity, but I cannot get my downloader to get past two minutes remaining. I created a new machine and started with the same instructions as Mavericks. I've tried unchecking GraphicsEnabler=Yes and the Install Network Drivers. No help. The hackintoshing thing is new to me and I have Mavericks installed and working. Just can't get Yosemite to go. Is it because I made a new machine and I am not updating Mavericks? Appreciate the help.
