  1. Glad to hear its working! I think the resolution and flashing is graphics kext issue. Not really sure on these but over at insanelymac or similar site you might find advice from someone who has your video card working. Fo instance your card series is listed here:: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/92952-list-confirmed-radeon-hd-7xxx-series-10-8-3-a.html (also if there's any chance you could make this answered , maybe someone would come help me with my problem. blatant self promotion ,apologies. just would like to get some help with my install)
  2. I noticed a very similar error to the image you posted when I hadn't set my SATA to AHCI instead of IDE. Maybe just check that first in case. Still can't get mine to run but such is life
  3. have you tried this? https://www.hackintosh.zone/hackintosh/articles/how-to/fix-grey-screen-black-screen-mac-os-x-installation-hackintosh/
  4. hi, this website, ie forums and how to pages seems to cause chrome to crash on me frequently. I've done this: http://www.howtogeek.com/103292/how-to-fix-shockwave-flash-crashes-in-google-chrome/ But chrome still crashes on me regularly. Is this just me? i also have the same problem using firefox but less frequent crashes.
  5. I think you need to use the OSX install to make the partition. The MBR for your machine is probably the difficultly. If you use the whole drive its easier, otherwise you need to install a proper bootloader setup so your partition can be booted from. Like shown here: http://www.hackintoshosx.com/topic/13590-guide-how-to-dual-boot-windows-7-mountain-lion-with-chameleon-boot-loader/ (i think..) EDIT: you may find this helpful also; https://www.hackintosh.zone/hackintosh/articles/how-to/how-to-fix-the-boot0-error-for-your-hackintosh-r25/
  6. Not sure but have you set your SATA to AHCI instead of IDE in your BIOS? Also, if you change it from IDE to AHCI you may find windows will not boot. This can be fixed by switching back to IDE load windows, then search "install AHCI in windows 7"in google. Easily fixed. Otherwise I have no idea.
  7. Not sure how much clearer I can be. This is from my original post: I have installed Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on a separate hard drive in an existing Win 7 computer. To be clear, I have one drive for win7, one for storage and now one for OSX. (I refer to Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.5 as OSX here) the following errors occur during the boot: 1)device hubdrive @0x1d100000 overcurrent condition port will be disabled (occurs several times) 2) OSX hangs upon reaching the following line as shown by -x-v boot (lines leading up tp this are below in qoutes); Bluetooth -yaddayaddayadda-Start completed "SMC::smcInitHelper ERROR:MMIO regMap == NUll - fall back to old SMC mode ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - wait for Service (resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUManagement) timed out DMOS has arrived [iOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed"
  8. Did you burn the niresh iso to a dvd or did you make a bootable usb? The fact that both are showing same grey screen might mean the way you are booting the install is a problem. If usb maybe there's a fault. Easy way is to burn iso to dvd. Reset your bios to default. Then change SATA from IDE to AHCI. Then change boot order so that dvd is top. Then save and exit BIOS.Reboot, if you still have blank screen it is likely your system is incompatible with niresh's distribution and you'll need to edit the install. that's beyond me at this point. Perhaps ask at http://www.tonymacx86.com or http://www.insanelymac.com/ for advice on how to install OSX in general on your system.
  9. Hi. I have just started making trying to get Niresh 10.8.5 to work. So I have only limited knowledge. Make another video with -x -v as boot options. Then you can see where it is crashing and the following link can help you sort it out: https://www.hackintosh.zone/apple/articles/troubleshooting/guide-most-common-problems-with-hackintosh-r10/ From what I understand getting this to work on AMD is difficult. Sry but I can't be of more help.
  10. ***** If you are having problems after installation, this has a lot of information: https://www.hackintosh.zone/apple/articles/troubleshooting/guide-most-common-problems-with-hackintosh-r10/ ***** UPDATE QUESTION: when I install from DVD it takes about 20 minutes and then the screen goes grey and the computer restarts. Is this the way it should be? Hi. I have installed Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on a separate hard drive in an existing Win 7 computer. To be clear, I have one drive for win7, one for storage and now one for OSX. (I refer to Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.5 as OSX here) I have NOT installed a correct bootloader. I installed OSX on the separate hardrive connected via SATA. I can choose to boot direct from this drive through my UEFI BIOS interface. Or to use boot flags I use the DVD to choose the boot from the hard disk. OSX begins to boot but hangs.Note that I am happy with leaving the boot situation alone. When i want to have a go with OSX I can choose boot from the hard disk easily. I do not have access to camera at the moment. I have tried the following: 1) reinstalled using burned DVD of Niresh iso. 2) the various "flags": -x -v -GraphicsEnabler = No 3)Setting my BIOS settings to UEFI defaults then disabling anything "fancy" eg. - VT-d technology under the north bridge options. Here is the manual for my motherboard: ftp://europe.asrock.com/manual/H67DE3.pdf the following errors occur during the boot: 1)device hubdrive @0x1d100000 overcurrent condition port will be disabled (occurs several times) 2) OSX hangs upon reaching the following line as shown by -x-v boot (lines leading up tp this are below in qoutes); Bluetooth -yaddayaddayadda-Start completed "SMC::smcInitHelper ERROR:MMIO regMap == NUll - fall back to old SMC mode ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - wait for Service (resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUManagement) timed out DMOS has arrived [iOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed" **Update** Following advice from https://www.hackintosh.zone/apple/articles/troubleshooting/guide-most-common-problems-with-hackintosh-r10/ i have disabled Vt-d but my monitor is vga only. So I think i need to install vga support for HD3000. From here maybe; https://www.hackintosh.zone/forums/topic/191-updated-guide-tips-for-enabling-vga-in-intel-hd3000-gpu/ However I can't figure out how to do this. ** I am trying to edit the kxt's but when booting with -s typing into command line keeps being interrupted by USB warning about "device hubdrive @0x1d100000 overcurrent condition". So I am parking this project. Will probably try again when I have access to a Mac and not use distro. I have tried the AppleIntelCPU* removal via terminal, no impact I have tried replacing the FakeSMC via terminal, no impact. I have tried reinstalling with different options in customise, but none had an impact. I tried changing NullCpu.. to Disabler, and others, but no effect.
