  1. I found out a valid way to update without breaking the system. Worked with 10.8.5 going onto the Supplemental update 1.0 A10-6800K 8Gb 1600Mhz 8400GS 512Mb FM2-A75IA-E53
  2. AMD Install Helper for 10.8.x and 10.9.x

You need a supported Nvidia/Ati Gfx card. The onboard one of the APU isn't supported.
  3. Can this apply to 10.8? Back up the kernel and specified kexts before updating and after update finishes you replace them back?
  4. VirtualBox doesn't work unless its Intel in my experience. You'll have to install it directly to your machine with boot flag= "amd64 -v"
  5. So much for support, I moved on to Mavericks. Delete thread if needed.
  6. Hmm...what about 10.9.4? Can I safely update on my AMD machine?
  7. Alright so I got my AMD computer running rather perfect aside from Audio. So how can I update without breaking the system? Here's my specs for those wondering: AMD A10-6800K Galaxy 8400GS 512Mb 8Gb 1600Mhz Corsair ram MSI FM2-A75IA-E53 I used Niresh 10.8.5 on a DVD to install. (I don't have a flash drive over 4gb )
