  1. I need help installing on AMD machine

I recommend, if you have the means, and the time, and the patience, you create the USB in windows, using WIn32DiskImager and the USB version of the official release. I think this has something to do with things. Also your bios page looks different from mine. look for a page called "On-Chip ATA devices".
  2. (Mavericks 10.9),(Mountain Lion 10.8.x) HP ENVY TouchSmart 15t-j000

try the "hp" boot flag. "hp USBBusFix=Yes -x -v"
  3. I need help installing on AMD machine

I didn't encounter that problem during my installation... Try the RAID mode and boot with "ahcidisk=1 debug=8" from the USB.
  4. I need help installing on AMD machine

Phew.. I've done it myself. I'm posting this from within Mavericks . I booted into the USB installer with "amd GraphicsEnabler=No USBBusFix=No -f -v" and into OSX with "GraphicsEnabler=Yes USBBusFix=No ahcidisk=1 debug=8". I just hope I don't fuck up now.
  5. I need help installing on AMD machine

Hi guys, For the last two days I've been trying to get OSX 10.9 Mavericks installed on my PC; Specs: CPU: AMD Athlon ll X2 270 GPU: nVIDIA GTS 450 RAM: 2x2GB Kingston DDR3 1033MHz Motherboard: MSI GF615M-P33 V2 Chipset Model: GeForce 7025 Southbridge Model: nForce 630a Storage: 160GB 5400RPM IDE(!) HDD (primary) In my bios I have no AHCI option, only IDE and RAID. On my harddisk I have a Windows partition, a storage partition, and an unformatted partition for OSX. I'm trying to install it using a thumb drive, on which I wrote the .DMG using Win32DiskImager. The installation keeps getting stuck at at a "still waiting for root device" screen. I've tried the following flags: amd/amd69, ahcidisk=1 debug=8, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, USBBusFix=Yes, -f, -x in all combinations, none of them works. The thing is, last night I got it to work using "amd64 ahcidisk=1 debug=8 GraphicsEnabler=No -f -v". The installation succeded, and the OS was very responsive (way better than Ubuntu), it had sound, networking and everything was working on the first run. This morning however I couldn't get it to start, so I erased the partition and tried to install it again, and this is where I am now. I don't know what else to do... I'll attach some pics. If you are willing to help, please do so in a way that a beginner can understand.
