Thanks a lot for this great work, I have successfully installed on a 2011 self-assembled PC. It is not a powerful machine, but for my first try, it is ok. I´m really impressed that I didn´t have to get any extra hardware to complete the installation, and all parts of my windows 8.1 pc are working just fine with this installation. In case it is of use for others, I will name the parts of my build. Board: asrock g41m-vs3 CPU: Intel Celeron E3400 – 2.60 GHz Graphics: NVidia GeForce 210 RAM: Kingston DDR3 800Mhz 2*4g HDD: WD 250GB Keyboard and mouse: Microsoft wireless keyboard 2000 Monitor: 32†LG tv connected via HDMI For the specific configuration of my Bios, I followed the instructions on this Youtube video: With the first installation everything worked just fine, but, just for fun, I flashed the Bios with the latest version firmware and did a fresh installation. I want to note that I had been using this windows pc for over 2 years and made a full backup, just in case I need to return to that again. Originally I was just getting ready to install Ubuntu, as I have done a few times in the pass, but then I came across this great post. I also use a MacBook pro as a carry out notebook. Once again, thanks for this great job.
