  1. Never mind you guys, I reïnstalled and after that I did my updates and installed the kext for my soundcard after everything was done. All working just fine now.
  2. Hey People, I have been running Yosemite since the first release on my Acer Aspire 5720G which I altered to run OS X. I have swapped the CPU with a T7800, upgraded the ram to 4GB, swapped the MXM graphicscard with a GeForce 8600M GS and replaced the WiFi card with an Atheros 5B95 one. Until now it has been running flawelessly. Yesterday I decided to do the last (security) update from the appstore and as expected, the sound stopped working. I tried reinstalling the patched AppleHDA.kext and HDAEnabler3.kext and everytime I do this, my hackintosh refuses to boot. Luckely I backuped the Extensions folder so with my usb installer I moved the back to my Libraries folder and the thing boots again, but with no sound. I also tried installing the VooDooHDA.kext, but the thing still won't boot if I do this. Replacing the Extensions with my old ones fixes this, but still no Audio. Am I overlooking something here ? I have Chimera as my bootloader and like I said, I got everything working (except for the webcam which I don't use anyway) but this last security update broke something really bad.....
  3. Stops after IOgraphics family and Applesmartbattery

try to boot in safe mode with the -x flag and the verbose mode ( -v ). I did that during setup, and after every update. Works for me.
  4. hey people, is it possible to change the theme on the niresh mavericks boot loader ? I found this wonderful theme, but I can't seem to get it working. btw...great job on the distro. Jeroen
  5. Ok, so after a bit of fiddling around I got this to work. Now for the hard part.... is it possible to change the Chameleon Niresh theme to something more plain? I found this wonderful mavericks looking Chameleon boot loader theme. I found some stuff on the internet on how to change this stuff, but somehow I can't get my theme to show up.
  6. Hey people, I am trying to install Nerish Mavericks from a DVD. Main reason I am going with DVD is cause I couldn´t restore the DMG to a USB stick (not on my previously fully working Mountain Lion hackintosh and on windows) so now I have tried installing but somehow I get the message The IOUSBFamily was not able to enumerate a device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying Eventually I got the installation to boot, but it failed at about 9 minutes remaining.... I clicked restart, but it wasn't booting. First I got a "mach_kernel" not found message when booting from harddrive, later on it seemed like the bootloader was fully gone ! Now I can't even get the setup to start. I tried bootflags -v -f -x and even mach_kernel....still no go! I am trying to install on an: Acer Aspire 5720G-1A1G16Mi, which I altered a little. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5 GHz I upgraded the RAM to 4GB, placed a bigger harddrive in there (500GB) I replaced the graphics card with a 512MB GeForce 8600M and replaced the intel WiFi card with a natively supported Atheros one (can't remember the exact chip...but it's the one that's nativly supported on Aitkos ML2 ) please help....
