  1. attempt to install following guide

I am following this guide here: https://www.hackintosh.computer/1121/install-macos-high-sierra-on-pc/ The problem using this guide is i keep running into this: https://ibb.co/nOTBDk i have tried to add -x but still. if i follow other guids i get a little farther but those still don't get me to an install screen either (one with -x reboots me immediately without the -x there is a kernel panic. hardware: cpu I5 4670k mb: Gigabyte z87x-ud3h 8 gigs ram video: nvidia gtx 970 any help would be appreciated.
  2. Possible workarround/final update: go into clover. this board normally gets setup as a imac 14.2 change it to 14.1 video playback fixed. audio playback. seems the detection for the green port is borked when it comes to hackitosh on the 898 audio systems move the plug to the black port (last line out) .. no more audio stuttering. i'll update as i test if more issues come up
  3. Possible progress. i added npci=0x2000 to the boot flags. video no longer stutters. but no sound now. (no output sound device) followed this guide to get sound back: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/sierra-desktop-realtek-applehda-audio.197923/ BUT the stutter is back arrrghh...
  4. another update: updated to sierra 110.12.5 hoping to fix the issue. no dice but everything else works. tried to play mp3's again . no dice still choppy and stuttery. I'm still looking for bootflags in clover for it. everywhere i read it's fixed is using multibeast but they don't say what they did .. arrgghh
  5. Sierra 10.12.3 default setup clover bootloader from install. (everything else seem to work. no added flags.
  6. Clean install. All videos stutter/stop youtube, mp4, any web video Fresh install. the install went smooth. no hickups. got my nvidia web drivers working no issues (smoothest install to date) cpu I5 4670k mb: Gigabyte z87x-ud3h 8 gigs ram video: nvidia gtx 970 youtube videos stutter then stop working about 20 seconds in. same with other videos. i read somewhere someone had a similar issue and changed bootflags to fix it. but they did not post the fix. currently the system thinks it's a imac 27 inch UPdate: Mp3 playback is also stuttering.
  7. USB not working after update

I would love to know what this fix is! i'm having the exact same problem.
  8. Yosemite 10.10.1 install and upgrade to 10.10.5

update: ok i finally got the installer to work with the following flags /haswell nv_disable=1 ncpi=0x2000 -v reboot with nv_disable=1 install nvidia drivers and cuda. hoping to hear how i should go forward and if i should keep the default boot loader or upgrade. (i do want to upgrade to el capital and of course to sierra but i don't see any guides using chameleon boot loader. update: next doing this in a terminal BEFORE updating to 10.10.5 sudo sed -i.bak 's/1.2/1.3/g' /usr/standalone/bootcaches.plist sudo sed -i.bak 's/lzss/lzvn/g' /usr/standalone/bootcaches.plist sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions/ && sudo kextcache -u / sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel then again use nv_disable=1 and install new drivers. Now i still don't have 2nd monitor working. i'm resisting going to clover. i will if i have to in order to run el capitan or sierra.
  9. Yosemite 10.10.1 install and upgrade to 10.10.5 Ok i'm really at my wits end. i had this working. now to explain: my specs: I5 4650k Gigabyte z87x-ud3h-cf (haswell) bios version f9 Nvidia (gigabyte) 970 GTX 8 gigs ram samsung evo 850 EDIT: sound Realtek® ALC898 codec lan: Intel® GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit) all above worked fine (exept for sleep) now my problems. I had this installed on a reuglar western digital drive but it seemed to go tits up on me so new drive! I got it installed but it seemed to lock up during use (just like my sata drive that now is dead. i then tried another re-install with flags starting up off the Yosemite usb you guys have. i try using flags -v nv_disable=1 (this worked before) and /haswell. now i just see spam really fast and sometimes a flash of the first screen of the installer (red apple logo) but it reboots. i've also tried: -v nv_disable=1 npci=0x2000 /haswell -v nv_disable=1 npci=0x2000 all the same. it just reboots. i'm definetly not using usb3 plug i put the image to the usb using transmac. I just can't seem to get the startup for the install rght!?? ok part 2. once i get this installed i pretty much know what to do to get updated to 10.10.5 however is there something else i should do if i want to go to El Capitan? or Sierra? should i go with another image? also i don't have acess to a mac right now and won't for a while. (unless i can get this machine going). i hope to get some help i had this going a few years ago but drive died and put it off till recently. i really want to get this running. Thanks for your help.
  10. Fresh install problems (pci hang)

Seems i spoke too soon. now i'm getting this: (see pic)
  11. Fresh install problems (pci hang)

Problem fixed. standard boot instead of eufi and did not use 0x2000 or 0x3000
  12. Fresh install problems (pci hang)

I was running Mavericks for a while and i got an error that everyone said i just needed to re-install. so i figured let's give Yosemite a try. usb boot went flawless (following this site's guide) i din't even have to add any boot flags to the usb boot. however after the install At the detect pci it just hung. i tried tons of different thigns. finally got past it by using -v -x -F (-v -x would not get past it) all 3 monitors lit up everything worked but i was in "safe mode" i screwed arround with the plist file and removed the npci=0x3000 npci=0x2000 strings i noticed it detected 2 things and just stopped dead cold. -v -x works to get in. motherboard: Gigabyte z87x-ud3h-cf cpu i5 4670 video: 2x Nvidia gtx 770 (sli) any help would be appreciated. i can get in the system but have to edit manually the the boot file. but only in safe mode.
