Trying to sort out the above GPU to no avail... I have read posts that say it is supported in Yosemite, and seen people who have managed to get it working. AMD8000Controller.kext AMDRadeonX4000.kext The above kexts already include the ID '0x66401002', system info app seems to recognise the "AMD Bonaire XTX" device but how do I get OS X to join everything up and use the kexts? Installing them doesn't do anything, and I've tried to 'inject ATI' with clover but maybe I'm not doing it right. The graphics shows as 7mb, which is clearly no good... I thought I may need a DSDT because RampageDev has got a load of stuff on AMD cards but apparently I can't have a DSDT for my Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P motherboard so... for my sanity I've decided to seek help. Anyone know why this card refuses to work when the system supposedly supports it?
I'm struggling to get my Radeon R7 260x GPU working properly in Yosemite, the best shot I have is as follows: "Add your Device-ID (0x66401002) into AMD8000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonX4000.kext under <key>AMDBonaireGraphicsAccelerator</key>" I have all the AMD kexts situated in S/L/E but they don't appear in kext wizard... This would mean they're not loaded, right..? Do I need to install AMD8000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonX4000.kext before I can do anything to them, or have any chance getting the GPU acceleration to work? If anyone could put me out of my misery it would be amazing, kexts are a bit of a mystery still and I'm cautious of killing the whole system... Thanks!
