  1. AMD Instant reboot.

    AMD Instant reboot. Hi Guys! I have an AMD FX Gaming PC and i want to install macOS Sierra. Motherboard: ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/AURA Processor: AMD FX 9590 Videocard: AMD Fury X Memory: 32GB 4x8 DDR3 I don't have any apple device and i write the Sierra Zone with TransMac. I set the bios to good settings. Then i boot my Sierra Zone Pedrive and use this argument: Kernel=kernel.amd . At the next step booting and instant reboot. Pls i need help.
  2. Need Help in order to boot from USB Hello!! I'm trying to boot from my usb. I have downloaded and restored the Sierra Zone image. My BIOS has detected the installer, but the problem is I can't boot from it. I have used kcsuffix=amd, -v as flag, but all I got this. And if I select boot flag as graphicsenabler=no fcsuffix=amd I got this Do I need to replace the kernel before proceeding? My system specs are below AMD FX 6300 MSI 970 Gaming MotherBoard 2*4GB 1866Mhz Kingston HyperX Fury RAM 240GB SSD for Windows 320GB WD Blue HDD (for Hackintosh) Nvidia GT 630 2GB BTW I've chosen the 1st option from installer menu.
  3. Trouble Installing Niresh Mavericks With AMD FX-6200 My system is the AMD FX-6200 CPU, a GeForce GT 740 GPU, 8GB Adata RAM, 3TB Seagate HDD, ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 Motherboard. I am installing Niresh off of a 64GB USB3.0 USB in a 2.0 port, onto a 150GB partition on my 3TB hard drive. Windows is on my 120GB SSD. I have downloaded the Niresh Mavericks torrent file and used Win32DiskImager to make the USB bootable. I boot from the USB and it prompts me to use boot flags. I have tried multiple combinations of -amdfx, -amd, -amd64, npci=0x2000, npci=0x3000, cpus=1, -force64, arch=i386, GraphicsEnabler=Yes, -x, -no-zp and GraphicsEnabler=No. At first I couldn't format the partition because there was no EFI partition, but I added it and then I could proceed with the installation. I have tried with clicking customize and following tutorials and without customizing anything. I click install and the bar will reach around the word niresh, and then it says the installer failed. The last thing in the log is something about being unable to extract base system something or other.pkg. Please help!
  4. So here's the deal. I've been trying to get the GTX 960 working in my hackintosh for the past 4 days. I can install after applying the boot flags, however: 1. When I updated to 10.10.5 and put in in the amd sse3 kernel in (chameleon loader), thereafter installing the web drivers for nvidia, it would work, but using Finder and several different applications would constantly hang or sometimes even reset the driver. 2. I reinstalled and this time updated to 10.10.2 with the clover loader. Again i tried the drivers for 10.10.2, but they are even worse, artifacting out and finder would crash. 3. Attempting to update to 10.10.3 horribly messed up my install. I haven't tested it there but I have a friend who got it working with 10.10.3. My system is: AMD FX-8320 8 core CPU 16GB DDR3 1600 RAM ASUS M5A99FX Pro r2.0 motherboard Asus Strix GTX 960 2GB Graphics card 60gb ocz agility ii ssd with 500gb WD hdd Any solution?
  5. Hello everyone! I'm having some trouble when trying to boot up Mac OS X from the Yosemite zone bootloader, I've installed Mac OS in a different hard drive than Windows. When I installed Yosemite I used the boot flags "/amd64 npci=0x2000 -V" and it completed smoothly. However, when I try to boot into my Mac OS X partition from the yosemite zone bootloader It will always get stuck. Verbose mode shows a message saying RTC: Lost Battery Power. Also, when I try to add boot flags to the yosemite bootloader it will show "can't find /amd64", so I have to add the boot flags by booting Mac OS X from the Yosemite Zone USB installer. Here is what the verbose mode shows: My specs: Geforce GTX 660 OC 2GB AMD FX-8350 GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 PD: recently I'm having some issues with my ram, for some reason my computer only says that half of the ram is usable, the other half is "Hardware Reserved", I don't know if this has something to do with my problem. Thank you so much.

  8. I am trying to install the OS X Mavericks in Virtualbox. Kernel Panic: https://i.imgur.com/m0lp7zU.png Processor: AMD FX 4300 Help me ;-;
  9. Hello guyz, after a lot of research and uncountable tries with various kernels and kext files, i had successfully installed OSX 10.10.3 on my AMD FX 8350. I would like to help every AMD FX users on how to install 10.10.3 on their System and enable GFX acceleration on nvidia cards. Prerequisites: Download the 10.10.3 Combo update file from the link below. https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1804?locale=en_US Installation Instructions: Step 1: Install Yosemite Zone 10.10.1 with /amd1 bootflag OR Install 10.10.1 with Unibeast drive using amd kernel Step 2: Download the .rar file from the link below and extract it. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2tOEfugYcrnTTVtRDNISjBKV2s/view?usp=sharing Step 3: In the rar file you will get a file as "kern" without quotes. Its the kernel file. Copy/paste the file on the root of you hackintosh drive. Also copy/paste two other kext files named as AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext on the root of your hackintosh or downloads folder of your hackintosh as we will need these two files later. Also Copy/paste the Web driver which i had also given on the rar file. Step 4: Now its time to install the 10.10.3 combo update file which u had downloaded. Step 5: After installing the update file, dont restart your PC. First, you have to copy/paste the pthread.kext file on System/Library/Extensions. or you can use Kext Wizard to install the Kext. You will get the pthread.kext file on the rar file which u had downloaded. On the rar file, you will get a .zip file named as 10102-UPD-Patch-pthread.kext.zip. Extract that zip file and you will get pthread.kext. Step 6: After installing the kext, Fix permissions with Kext wizard and then restart your PC and let the update complete. Step 7: After updating the hackintosh to 10.10.3, its time to boot. So now we need that kernel file which we had pasted on the root directory of the hackintosh drive earlier. So, insert the Yosemite Zone Pendrive as because we need that drive to boot into our hackintosh drive as it has got chameleon installed. Step 8: After inserting the Yosemite Zone Pendrive, boot from the pendrive and select your hackintosh drive from the chameleon boot menu. And now use the following boot flags: /kern -v -x -f Step 9: Patience. It will take some time to boot and after successful boot, it will boot without hardware acceleration. Step 10: Now we need to install the two other kext which we had copied earlier. So fire up Kext Wizard and install those two kext AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext. After installing the kexts, fix permission using kext wizard. Step 11: install the nvidia web driver which you had copied earlier. After installing the driver, remember to use boot flag nvda_drv=1 on org.chameleon.boot.plist and also copy the kernel file "kern" without quotes to System/Library/kernels and run chameleon Wizard and on org.chameleon.boot. option, tick mark kernel option and on the text bar below type in "kern" without quotes. This will make the OSX boot with kern everytime and you dont need to enter /kern bootflag everytime. Step 12: Reboot your PC and on the Chameleon Boot menu, Choose your hackintosh drive and hit ENTER. ENJOY YOSEMITE 10.10.3 on AMD FX. My Specification: CPU: AMDFX 8350 GPU: NVIDIA GTX 760 RAM: 8GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE MOBO: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
  10. AMD FX won't boot using Clover

    I tried to install Yosemite 10.10.1 and i have successfully installed it before using the Chameleon bootloader, but i've had no success with the Clover bootloader and that's which bootloader i wish to use as it fixes the Imessage issue, but as I was always stuck between the boot and login screen. I know it has to do with the kernel, but i don't know where i repleace the kernel or if there's certain kexts i have to load. The only way i would make it past was in safe mode which is almost useless. Has anyone had any success on an FX-8xxx Series CPU with the latest version of Yosemite-Zone (10.10.1) using Clover? If so, what configuration did you use? My build: CPU: AMD FX-8320, 3.5ghz Ram: 10Gb DDR3 Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 1GB MoBo: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+
  11. AMD FX-8350 - Working With Yosemite

    AMD FX-8350 Working With Yosemite So, I've managed to get OS X Yosemite installed on the following hardware: • AMD FX-8350 (4.0GHz) • Gigabyte 78MLT-USB3 (Micro ATX Motherboard) • 8GB Kingston 1333MHz Memory • Seagate 1TB (OS X Drive) • Western Digital 500GB (Windows Drive) • Powercolor AMD Radeon 7770 (Gigahertz edition) To install this, I used the Yosemite Zone dmg, and burnt it onto a USB stick using Win32DiskImager. I installed as an upgrade from Mavericks, while using some extra boot flags, and everything is working fine. The only thing that I have an issue with is the AMD Cool n' Quiet feature. This doesn't seem to be functional, and the CPU overheats very easily if under load (with a low-end cooler) if I enable more than one core of the cpu (cpus=8.) Below, I have a video showing exactly what hardware I am using, and an overview of specs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0WFXdiGhhg
  12. Hello, so I've previously been able to get Niresh Yosemite and Mavericks to load on my laptop(which weirdly enough has far less support than my desktop components), now I'm attempting to install it on my desktop. However, I keep running into an error that keeps repeatedly popping up until the install comes to a grinding halt. This is the same install error that keeps popping up with minor variances depending on the file being pulled up: localhost OSInstaller[389]: PackageKit: Got copier error 5 extracting to path /Volumes/Big Mac Attack/.OSInstallSandbox-tmp/Root//System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SystemMigration.framework/Versions/A/Resources/ar.lproj/Localizable.strings: Input/output error This never changes regardless of what boot flags or customizations I select in the installer. So far I've tried just /amd -v, /amd1 -v, /amd -v -x, /amd -v -x -f npci=0x2000 dart=0, and a few more I can't remember. As for customizations, I pretty much leave everything as it is with the exception of choosing the Mac Pro 3.1 SMBIOS, unchecking the graphics enabler and checking the backup kexts, removing the laptop keyboard/trackpad functionality and that's it. With my laptop I had a whole lot of trouble getting to the installer, but once it installed it worked(somewhat). Now the problem is vice versa, it's super easy to get to the installer, but the installer stops extracting and writing files a little bit after the 9 minutes left marker. I've tried the "1 minute left" solution where you stop the install, restart and install without reformatting, that just gave me a failure to install error. Any help would be appreciated, here are my specs: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard AMD FX 8350 4.0 Ghz MSI Radeon R9 290 4GB AMD Radeon R9 Gaming RAM 4X4GB @ 2133Mhz Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD(Windows OS Drive), WD Black 3TB Performance Drive(Storage), WD Caviar Blue 2.5" 320GB drive(Mac OSX destination), LG Blu-Ray drive Corsair HX850 PSU A couple of notes I'd like to make, the first being that my drive I'm installing OSX on is on a SATA to USB adapter connected to a USB 2.0 port, I have USB 3.0 ports on my motherboard but neither the OSX drive or the USB drive with Niresh OSX on it are visible when plugged in there, I have a PCI card reader with 2 USB 3.0 ports on it as well but when I boot from the USB drive I get stuck at the "Still waiting for root device" infinite loop. Secondly, all of my drives are still plugged in via SATA for my desktop with the exception of my install drives, not sure if this is an issue with desktops since I've only done this on my laptop and had to do it through USB without ripping my laptop open(which takes FOREVER because Asus planned the design horribly) so if it is, let me know so I can try that(I don't want to move anything inside my PC right now unless I have to). Thanks in advance for any and all help!

  15. Installation Issues With AMD

    I tried to install Yosemite 10.10, the first release by Hackintosh Zone for AMD processors, and had no success as I was always stuck between the boot and login screen, the only way i would make it past was in safe mode which is almost useless. Has anyone had any success on an FX-8xxx Series CPU with the latest version of Yosemite-Zone (10.10.1). If so, what boot-flags do you use? My build: CPU: AMD FX-8320, 3.5ghz Ram: 10Gb DDR3 Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 1GB MoBo: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+

What bootflags, guides, or distros should I use during setup? And Merry xMas!

  24. Hi everybody! I installed Niresh on my tower a few months ago and I've been fixing the problems have been appearing like iMessage problem, Randomly freezes problem (almost all). And I improved system stabilty changing my BIOS settings. But... I still have some problems. (X) 1. When I play some videos using QuickTime or MXPlayer system freezes and I have to restart the system (Sounds glitch when this happend) -> NEED SOLUTION extra info: In Opera and Firefox youtube playing (Flash component) hangs system, in Chrome this does not happend, only FLV via RTMP protocol under SmartCard HTTPS encryption. (V) 2. Improved system stabilty: Changing SMBIOS to latest MacPro (using Chameleon Wizard). IMPROVED (V) 3. After some hours, network card does not work, need to restart (not always) -> SOLVED I think so (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287161-new-driver-for-realtek-rtl8111/) (V) 4. Safari text unreadable vertical white lines across the text -> Need to check this: SOLVED (https://www.hackintosh.zone/forums/topic/755-safri-text-unreadable-mavericks/) Solution: (X) 5. Randomly my session appears to logout and everything enter "like a suspend mode" but fans keep running, when I push a key, Log on screen appears and loads my opened apps again (fast). extra info: I observed this playing music on iTunes; music stops and my screen turned off. When I pushed a key, in 2 seconds Logon screen appeared. extra info2: When I put the system in suspend mode from Apple menu, everything appears to be suspended, but fans keep running. UNSOLVED (X) 6. I think CPU temp is too high: In Hw sensors does not appear my CPU temp, only my HDDs temp, but CPU fans runs so fast (In Windows runs slower). UNSOLVED (V) 7. Random Freezes: Music keeps playing but mouse and keyboard not, need to restart -> ALMOST FIXED with: FreezeFix for Fermi Nvidia (use Google) SOLVED Well, I know that I asking a lot of things. I provide the information to help other people. If anyone knows how to help me... Thanks in advance!
  25. Didair's Amd Build

    So while waiting for my new system (in my signature) to arrive I tough I'd share my current working AMD Hackintosh machine. Specs: [*]AMD FX-8150 CPU [*]ATI RADEON HD4870 1GB GPU [*]8GB Corsair 1600Mhz (Underclocked to 1333) RAM [*]A random 160GB Samsung Harddrive for OS X. [*]This USB sound card (instead of ALC887) - http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-3D-Virtual-7-1-Channel-Audio-Sound-Card-Adapter-for-PC-Laptop-WIN-7-MAC-/370900669132?pt=US_Sound_Card_External&hash=item565b6712cc This works great thanks to this kernel: https://www.hackintosh.zone/file/94-amd-10910911092-kernel-with-sse3-and-opemu/ I boot my installation and my system with: GraphicsEnabler=Yes -v I don't have to specify any kernel since I replaced the mach_kernel (default). You can also see that 3D acceleration et.c. is working in this screenshot: Oh and btw! I'm on 10.9.0 now due to a hard drive failure. I will update when i feel like it (which is probably never)
