  1. While following this guide, I noticed that you have to set a custom kernel, xpcm-free for Haswell processor. I used the same for installation and it installed fine. But how do I set this kernel for my installed Mac os? I looked back in the 'customize' section of the installer and there is not such entry. (P.S. I left all the customisation untouched) To be specific, I am facing the 'DSMOS has arrived" error, from here and I suspect that it is because of that custom kernel and not because of the issues mentioned in the aforementioned article. Please correct my if I'm wrong. ThinkPad 540p I5-4300M Intel HD-4600 Please tell if I have slipped any useful information. Thanks

  3. Hello, Already spent a lot of time and still can't understand what's the problem. I tried many images of Hackintosh, different boot args (-v -x nv_disable=1, nvda_drv=1, cpus=1 KernelPM=True, GraphicsEnabler=Yes, kext-dev-mode=1 -f, etc.), and always have 2 problems. Whether I have black screen, even with -v (seems to be the problem was in aptiofixdrv) OR it stucks when trying to boot into Mac OS X Sierra installator already at first few seconds. For now this stuck is really big problem for me. My configuration: MSI Gaming 3 (Z97), i7-4770k (Haswell), 16gb DDR3, Gigabyte nVidia 1070, clean OCZ SSD 240gb (just initialised in GPT, that's all) and a display connected to 1070 via HDMI. I followed this guide: https://www.hackintosh.computer/868/hackintosh-sierra-zone-aka-niresh-sierra-guide/ I was surprised that Niresh images are something more universal than images at torrents but it also stucks at start :(( I attached a photo. Please, help! Is it possible to fix this? Thank you!
  4. Hello! I tried to install the macOS Sierra Zone distro on my Dell inspiron 3647, Which I did not modify it's hardware (except for the RAM.) Here are the specs: Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 (On Darwin/x86, It shows as VESA v3.0 31MB (Intel(R) HSW Mobile/Desktop Graphics Chipset Accelerated VGA BIOS)) CPU: Intel(R) (Haswell) Pentium G3220 (Clock at 3 GHz) Memory: Samsung 2 GB memory stick (I installed the stock 4GB stick into my primary computer.) Chipset: Intel H81 Express Motherboard: A proprietary motherboard by Dell... BIOS Settings: The board does not have an "Other OS" or "VT-d" option. I set the AHCI mode to ATA, and the boot mode to Legacy, because I had an OS that needs it. When I tried to boot the USB up with the flags: kcsuffix=haswell Kernel=kernel.haswell -v -f -x npci=0x3000 USBBusFix=Yes dart=0 cpus=1 It crashes with the "Thread 0 Crashed" message in verbose mode. I don't know the busratio for this processor. Also, I think I'm getting the Kernel name wrong. Thank you in advance!

  6. Kernel Panic with voodooHDA - ASUS K451LB Laptop I installed Yosemite on my asus k451lb laptop. It has 4200u i5 processor (haswell), intel 4400 and nVidia 740m graphics, ALC233 audio. I installed with /haswell -no-zp bootflags. otherwise a kernel panic would happen where the microphone somehow starts to relay sound to the speakers Now after installation, whenever I install voodooHDA I get same kind of kernel panic. If I use safe mode then I can login, but there's no sound. Only if I remove the voodooHDA kext I can boot normally (no sound). I tried AppleHDA kexts, they dont work. If I add usb sound devices after booting, they work. But if i add them before booting, I get kernel panic . If anyone is interested in helping me, I can provide more information. Regards.

  9. Need a full noob step-by-step guide to installing yosemite on my PC so here's my current setup: CPU: Core i5 4460 [ 4th generation (haswell) ] http://ark.intel.com/products/80817/Intel-Core-i5-4460-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P81-D3 [ socket 1150 - H81 Express Chipset ] http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5268#ov RAM: 8 GB DDR3 (single piece) [Kingston HyperX 1600MHz] http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-1600MHz-DDR3/dp/B00J8E92M6 Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GT-520 http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-520/specifications HDD: Western Digital Blue 1 TB Wireless: TP-Link TL-WN751ND http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/cat-11_TL-WN751ND.html well here's the problem: I booted up the niresh 10.9 (without any boot flags) and everything went well except for the last minute of installation it suddenly said: Installation Failed ! reboot leaves a corrupt partition with no data on it. tried to repeat it with the same results. so I tried with 10.10.1 hackintosh zone version. the same except the final error was related to "GraphicsEnabler" so i rebooted with GraphicsEnabler=No and everything went fine until it gave me the same "Installation Failed" without giving me any cause. so I rebooted it and chose the OSX installation partition, and to my surprise it was there... installed and running. even though it said "Installation Failed" however, while trying to install the kext for my Wireless Card, It went well, but once I typed my WiFi password and clicked "connect" everything FROZE. so I hard-reset it. and i wouldn't boot up again giving me some fatal errors in the boot screen. so... how do I get a "Installed Successfully" in the first place ??? Please Help.

  11. Hi, I just put together my new build and I'm having trouble installing Yosemite 10.10.1 on my machine. ive tried to boot with /haswell and I always get a kernel panic about 10 seconds after the welcome screen loads. I've used -x but the install fails when its extracting Essentials.pkg. does anyone know what boot flags I should use? Also, is there any necessary bios settings I need besides ahci enabled? 12. Hi all, I've been trying to install Mac OSX 10.10.0 on my HP Envy 17-J053EA. The specs are as follows: - nVidia GT 740M - Intel i7-4700MQ (With Intel integrated graphics) (Haswell) - 12GB DDR3 RAM - 1920x1080 Display I changed the BIOS options to disable virtualisation and secure boot, and enable legacy boot. I got it to boot into the installer (past the Apple logo) using the following flags: /haswell nv_disable=1 cpus=1 -v -x However, once I'd clicked through the language and selected my 500GB HITACHI External HDD to install OSX to, it got to "About 14 minutes remaining" I can not get anything to happen now, it says "Debugger not configured hang" (Or something similar, I had to turn off my laptop as the fan went crazy) and mentions something about the kernel. I installed the "yosemite-zone.dmg" (10.10) onto an 8GB SanDisk Facet with Transmac on Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated!

  14. I have successfully installed Yosemite Distro (10.10.1 – Niresh) in one of the hard drive partitions but when I restarted my laptop (Acer ES-571-33Ys having Intel i3-4030U CPU @ 1.9 GHz processor (HASWELL) and inbuilt Intel HD Graphics 4440. No graphics card), I found only boot0 error. I view no bootloader icons from chameleon bootloader to boot from the hard drive. Please note that I can only boot through my Yosemite zone restored USB. Without the USB I cannot boot from the hard drive partition. The solution given for Hackintosh (which is not a readymade OS X) cannot be implemented for Niresh Distro (Yosemite 10.10.1) (which is a readymade OS X).

  17. Haswell Early Reboot

I have Yosemite Zone burned to my USB, I can boot into the USB installer, but I simply can't boot into the mac installer, I see a flash of a grey image then instant reboot. I believe it's because of my CPU but I've searched to find something but I can't find a solution? I have found Niresh's upload of the patched kernels for the Haswell range but, I have no clue how to install them. Can someone please in detail explain how to install these, would be very much appreciated. CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k 4.0Ghz MOBO: MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Motherboard

  19. Haswell kernel not found

Hello everybody I followed every step of niresh's guide but am still unable to launch the installation. It gives me a kernel panic but I'm not sure where I should start to look to solve the problem. I tried to boot with the "haswell" boot arg but gave me ".../kernel/haswell not found" if I try "/haswell" it starts booting but I'm not sure if the right kernel is loaded... The furthest I got in booting is a rule that says "debugger not configured. Hanging." and can't seem to find a way to fix it. I am a total noob but after dozen of hours re-intalling and searching the web I finally turn to you guys for help. What boot arg's should I use ? Also, should I install a custom kernel ? Thanks in advance Me Ps: my specs: Model : Asus 550LF Processor : i7 4500u RAM : 8GB DDR3 Graphics : Nvidia GeForce GT 745M OS : Windows 8.1 Pro
  20. Haswell kernel panic

Hi guys, I'm trying to install Yosemite Zone on my PC, but when I boot it from USB it loads a bit and then gives kernel panic. I've tried a lot of boot args, I tried with and without xpcm-free kernel, but nothing works. Here is picture. Better quality here. Before I had perfect Mavericks installation on my PC, so I guess Yosemite should somehow boot too. My PC spec: CPU: Intel i5-4570 3.2Ghz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 660 OC 2GB MB: ASrock H87M RAM: 8 GB Cruical Ballistix
  21. This is the configuration for my Lenovo Flex 14 touchscreen laptop: - Intel Core i5-4200u @ 1.6 GHz (Haswell) - Nvidia GeForce GT 720m with Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics( optimus) - Intel QM87 chipset - Wlan: Qualcomm Atheros AR956x - Ethernet: Realtek RTL8168 - Audio: Realtek ALC283(i think..) Device ID:(HDAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0283&SUBSYS_17AA3801&REV_10004&157DCDAD&0&0001) - Running Windows 8.1 Single Language while trying to dual boot OSX Mavericks. Now what I have done with no problems: I made the USB for Niresh Distro using windows method. Partitioned my hard drive through a partition manager and formatted it .(Mac OSX Extended Journaled) Booted USB in legacy support mode and booted "Niresh-Mavericks" using flag 'xpcm-free' Customized the menu and installed Niresh distro by Unchecking Graphics Enabler=Yes and Checking IGMPEnabler=Yes Checking Backup kexts for Nvidia Unchecking Hardware Monitor Appication in FakeSMC Rebooting in Niresh bootloader Problems faced and my solution: After rebooting I was getting this kernel panic in verbose mode what i did was to boot in safe mode and deleted kexts IOAudioFamily.kext and VodooHDA.kext from /S/L/E and made backup in a folder in my root. After this i rebooted in verbose mode and ignored kernel cache(-f). A new error related to AppleLMUController was showing frequently (no kernel panics and the screen got stuck after some time.(dont remember what was the last line). In some forums, i read that maybe the error was caused to plugins present in fakesmc.kext. After booting up again in safe mode, I removed the kext file (don't remember its exact name..will edit this post after rebooting and getting the name from my backup folder using -s ) FakeSMCxxxx.kext from the plugins folder (/S/L/E/FakeSMC.kext/Contents/Plugins/ ) and backed it up in the same folder the previous kext files were backed up. After this I booted again in verbose mode only. The AppleLMuController error was still occurring but still the gui got loaded and I was able to access my pendrives and Windows partition but with no sound and wifi. To solve wifi problem(try), I installed Slytherin and selected only checked wifiinjector kext from its options. Current Big problem: After this, i used kext wizard to repair permissions and kernel cache. After it was completed, I was getting info about some random video file when suddenly, kernel panic occured(page fault from its look) with black screen with white text overlapping on some part of my desktop screen and my hackintosh got hung up.(something like this https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Niresh12495/Imgs_move/master/hackintosh/1415134163__dsc_0173.jpg just for reference how it looked like..not the error..replace apple logo with desktop screen) After that, whatever i do i.e whether i boot in safe mode+verbose mode or simply verbose mode it can't get past this screen Note: 1."Resetting IOCatalogue", this line only shows when booting in safe mode after 5-10 minutes. Also, when I rebooted for the first time in verbose mode only, there was some line after waiting for 5-10 minutes "rebuild kernel prebuild.." something like that( sorry don't remember the exact line) Small problems: No Audio Running video files with mplayerx( tried .mp4 and .mkv) shows black screen and running quicktime with .mp4 file shows some -101 error. No wifi Launchpad icons flickers when scrolling, screen tears Chess moves are playable with continuous flickering. EDIT: I did a fresh install and backed up only VoodooHDA.kext and it boots into gui perfectly. Small problems are remaining though. Anyone with suggestions, please feel free to comment on to this post.
  22. Hello, I installed Niresh's OSX Mavericks on an ASUS Laptop in the latest VirtualBox, following the detailed instructions at MacBreaker http://tinyurl.com/lt7qwfg . --------------------------------------------------------------------- Hardware: ASUS N550JK Processor: Intel Core i7-4710HQ Video-1: Intel HD Graphics 4600 Video-2: NVIDEA GeForce GTX 850M Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio Memory: 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM Host OS: Windows 8.1 (64bit) Guest OS: OS X Mavericks 10.9.0 ? (Niresh Distro) VirtualBox: 4.3.14r95030 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Everything worked pretty much flawless, by carefully setting up the VM. The only thing that doesn't work is Audio. I get weird clicking and other noises when changing and typing in terminal. I have tried changing stuff in the Audio settings, but the problem prevails and the noises change only slightly. Also at one point when trying mess with VoodooHDA settings, there must have been some kind of kernel crash as the machine suddenly refused to respond and CPU at 100%. So my conclusion is that I don't have the right kernel drivers for the Audio provided by the VirtualBox machine. --------------------------------------------------------------------- The VirtualBox Audio settings are: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Host Driver: Null Audio Driver * Windows DirectSound Controller: * Intel HD Audio ICH AC97 SoundBlaster16 --------------------------------------------------------------------- And on the OSX "Sound" settings side they are: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Sound Effects: Speaker (Black Unknown) * Headphones (Green Front) SPDIF-out (Black Rear) Output: Speaker (Black Unknown) Apple speaker port * Headphones (Green Front) Headphone port SPDIF-out (Black Rear) Optical digital-out port Input: Microphone (Pink Front) Microphone port SPDIF-in (Black Rear) Optical digital-in port CD (ATAPI) --------------------------------------------------------------------- And on the OSX "VoodooHDA" settings side they are: --------------------------------------------------------------------- * 1: Speaker (Green Rear) 2: Headphones (Green Front) 3: SPDIF-out (Black Rear) 4: Line-out (blue Rear) 5: Microphone (Pink Front) 6: SPDIF-in (Black Rear) 7: CD (ATAPI) * /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@1e0000/AppleACPIPCI/HDEF@5 [ ] Use SSE2 [ ] Enhance stereo --------------------------------------------------------------------- I have no idea what would be the proper settings for this controller. Any suggestions? Please note that I'm new to OSX and have little experience and understanding of how to find/use/install Kext files and editing plists. So any help would be much appreciated.
  23. hello niresh community, im new here , so i will get straight to problem, i downloaded the niresh 10.9 usb image and burnt it to a 16gb verbatim stick (wich apparently shows no issues) , i tried to boot from the niresh and i failed many times before i did some research and then realized that i needed a mach_kernel patch for haswell, so i did patch my usb installer and it booted like a charm , i installed with defaults options on a fresh formatted 1 partition msata 128 ssd and the installation went good, but after the restart i tried to boot from the new installed niresh 10.9 os and once i press enter to select the bootdrive and it shows the apple logo for like a flash then reboots, so ive tried to copy the patched mach_kernel replacing the original one on my installed os70 drive and still no luck, please any tip would be helpful my rig : i7 4770K(cooled with h100i) msi z87-gd65 gaming 32gb (4x8gb) G.Skill trident x 2400mhz cas 10 msata hynix HDS128G3AMNM 128gb SSD corsair force ls 240 gb 2x seagate barracuda 2 to on raid0 2x msi gtx 780 ti gaming (sli) EVGA Supernova 1000G2
  24. Hi. When I boot the USB containing Niresh (Maverick), i get this error on a black screen: "Errors encountered while starting up the computer. Pausing 5 seconds..." Then the system reboots. I tried to install Mavericks using "My Hack" and "Unibeast" but i get the same error. Hardware: MB MSI Z87-G43 CPU Intel Core i7 4770 Haswell GPU Asus GTX770 RAM Corsair Veneance 4x4 I hope you can help me because I don't know what to do... P.S. Sorry for the bad English but i am Italian. EDIT: I noticed that after the "Pausing 5 seconds..." the Apple boot logo appears for less than a second. Then the system reboots. I attached a photo of the error after the launch of the installer in verbose mode.
