  3. Niresh Mavericks - Trackpad not working!! I really hope someone can help me, it's been a week since I've been able to use my laptop. I recently tried to install and run "Niresh Mavericks" on my HP Folio 9470m. Everything went well up until I realized I couldn't use my trackpad. The trackpad will work during the actual installation of Mavericks but once I boot Mavericks after it's installed, the trackpad refuses to work. The keyboard works fine. I've tried ever combination of settings when customizing the installation and still nothing works. I don't have another laptop at my disposal so I'm stuck with this crap. I don't know what else to do. I don't wanna give up on this project. I've seen HP laptop hackintosh builds and I know my laptop is more than capable of doing this. I even tried using a USB mouse and that still didn't work. Please someone help me !!

  12. Trouble Installing Niresh Mavericks With AMD FX-6200 My system is the AMD FX-6200 CPU, a GeForce GT 740 GPU, 8GB Adata RAM, 3TB Seagate HDD, ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 Motherboard. I am installing Niresh off of a 64GB USB3.0 USB in a 2.0 port, onto a 150GB partition on my 3TB hard drive. Windows is on my 120GB SSD. I have downloaded the Niresh Mavericks torrent file and used Win32DiskImager to make the USB bootable. I boot from the USB and it prompts me to use boot flags. I have tried multiple combinations of -amdfx, -amd, -amd64, npci=0x2000, npci=0x3000, cpus=1, -force64, arch=i386, GraphicsEnabler=Yes, -x, -no-zp and GraphicsEnabler=No. At first I couldn't format the partition because there was no EFI partition, but I added it and then I could proceed with the installation. I have tried with clicking customize and following tutorials and without customizing anything. I click install and the bar will reach around the word niresh, and then it says the installer failed. The last thing in the log is something about being unable to extract base system something or other.pkg. Please help!

System uptime in nanoseconds: 0 CPU: AMD E1-2500 Graphics: AMD Radeon 8000 Series Audio: Related (Sorry, won't specify in Device Manager) Ethernet: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Image: imgur.com/a/oa3e1 Problem: Won't boot into installer because of "system uptime in nanoseconds: 0". Tried USBBusFix=Yes and that just makes my screen go black. Boot flags: amd -v -s hp GraphicsEnabler=Yes (It's a laptop board in a PC tower. Stupid HP..) Also, this build was verified to work with the Niresh's version of Mavericks, which is what I'm trying to install.
  15. Cannot install Niresh Mavericks on my Dell Inspiron 3451 Hello everyone i Yesterday i decided i wanted to hackintosh my laptop, i'm still new to this. My laptop specs: Dell Inspiron 3451 Intel Pentium n3540 2.16 up to 2.66 quad core(ultra low voltge) Bay trail.. 4gb ddr3 Ram Intel HD (i think it stands for ivy bridge graphics) I downloaded niresh mavericks DMG, i used transmac to restore my usb (win32diskimager too) Problem is when i want to boot my computer from my usb stick, my motherboard laptop doesn't have many things to change, but i made sure it's on ahci mode, secure boot is disabled, tried uefi and legacy but nothing worked What happens is my laptop starts, i press f12 to choose usb stick (sometimes i just configure bios to start from usb stick), and it seems to appear something in screen, like two lines with two words, but it lasts for like 1/3 of a second and it suddenly reboots. I tried every configuration on Bios and nothing. I downloaded a patch kernel i found that is supposed to work on baytrail, i copied to my usb's image (with mavericks) with transmac and didn't work I know i have not much knowledge about this but i don't want to belive a wont be able to hackintosh my laptop. Is there something i'm doing wrong? I Heard from a guy i needed clover bootloader Maybe another os x distro, i don't care (I would prefer Mavericks but whatever) Hope someone knows if there's a solution Thanks in advance

  21. OSX compatibility with Laptops - will it (most likely) work on these? Hi everyone, I'd like to buy a new laptop, but I'm not satisfied by the performance/price ratio offered by Apple. I do not need a great machine, but I'd like a medium performance for a price that isn't way too high (around 1000€, max. 1400-1500€). However I really love OSX... and that's why I'm asking here. By the way, I really don't know much about hardware. So some of the machines I'm considering are the following: Lenovo Ideapad Y700 Gigabyte P55W v5 Asus Rog GL552VW-DH71 Alienware 17 (first/second ones from the left) Alienware 13 (999.99$ one, which is the second from the left) Thank you very much! If you need more information or anything, just let me know. feflop
  22. Need help with Niresh OS X Mavericks - VirtualBox I've successfully installed Mac OS X Mavericks on my PC through VirtualBox! It runs pretty well with a little bit of lag, which doesn't bother me. Here are the specs: (HP EliteBook 840 G1) - Intel Core i5 4300U (2.5GHz) - 8GB ram (4GB Dedicated) - Intel HD 4400 (512MB Shared Memory) Integrated Graphics - 500GB HDD (50GB Dedicated to Mavericks) I'm having a few more serious issues that I need help with. First, I can't open "About this Mac" without the OS hanging and logging me out automatically. Second, Mavericks recognizes my computer as a Mac Pro, but I'd like it to be a MacBook Pro (I remember there was a way to do this through command prompt). Finally, the sound comes out, but it sounds way deeper/slower than normal. Is there any way to fix these issues? All help is appreciated - Thanks!
  23. Can't Boot From USB

Can't Boot From USB Hi I need help, I can't seem to boot my USB Installer made ff this guide: https://www.hackintosh.computer/25/mavericks-zone-guide/ It just won't boot from USB, even though I forced it to boot from it. BIOS Settings configured well. Unit: Samsung NP300E4A CPU: Intel Core i3 2350M GPU: Intel HD 3000 RAM: 4GB OS: Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit (GPT-UEFI) When booting, it will jump straight to my OS (Ubuntu) Using CD/DVD is not an option as I have a broken Optical Drive. I tried booting Clonezilla Live and Windows 10 installer and they're all good. Also, the installer from the guide above works on my PC, it's just this laptop. Thanks!

The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. Click Restart to return to your previous version of OS X." How do I prevent this from happening and get it to install properly?
