  2. Hey! I've got very strange issue with the resolution of Intel HD 4000 graphic card. I Have two almost identical laptops. Both are the exact same model HP Elitebook 8570p. On one of them I'm able to get resolution 1600 x 900(even with "Night Shift" mode),but on the other I can get only 1366 x 768. The only differance between the two are the CPUs. On that with the higher resolution the CPU is Core i5 -3320 as suppose to Core i5 -3340 on the one with lower resolution. I even use the same image backup file on both computers. I tried almost everything with different settings with clover configurator, but without success. I've swapped the config.plist files on both even the whole EFI partition, also I swapped the CPUs on both to see if that's the reason, but nothing...Is there some reason why I can't make the resolution on that with 1366 x 768 to 1600 x 900? Can you help me please?! Thank you!
  3. First problem - After playing a video on any player, only the sound is played and the picture will not be displayed. I tried different settings with VLC but the image is still not. The second problem - In Safari is scrolling OK, in Chrome the image is jerking for scrolling. The system shows me 8GB and my vRAM has 7MB !!! I have already written in the forum but no one can help me. Help me please.
  4. Hi guys. Well, this is my second day of troubles, I touched everything, I installed max like 5 times in the same day, trying to figure out things and well. My Mac it display my graphic card on the #About this Mac tab With 2047MB ( So I guess all is right ) I installed the latest nvida drivers and on clover I activated the NvidaWeb. The problem is the resolution. Max resolution allowed is 1280 x 1024 and 800 x 600. I used to boot with nvd_drv 1 with nvd dry 0, I used to boot with all that things, and without them. BUT No way to fix the resolution. Someone knows what-s going wrong and how can I fix it? Bdw im using iMac14,2 and OS X Sierra 10.12.3 Im connecting to the screen with DVI adapter. ( Maybe that causes the problem ) But it shows Im running 2047 MB so... idk why I can't change resolution. Thanks! ================================= SOLVED EDIT: Hi guys, in Display Resolution, I just set it in "Default for display" and after that pressing "THE WINDOWS BUTTON KEY, IN MY CASE, IDK WHAT KEY IS THAT IN MAC KEYBOARD, I THINK THE CONTROL ONE OR IDK" PRESSING that key I selected Scaled, and it appears more options and resolutions. There is a video on youtube about that called "Mac OS X Display Resolution" If someone has the same trouble.
  5. Cannot Boot Normally or Change Resolution Hello to all! Yesterday I finished installing OS X Mavericks onto my PC and all is working fine apart from one problem. I cannot change the resolution to anything that isn't 4:3, and I can't boot without the flag nv_disable=1 (which I believe is why I can't change the resolution). I have set up my org.chameleon.Boot.plist correctly as well in case any one asks. Anyways when I boot without that flag I get stuck with AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext timing out (see image). I have been trying to solve this for literally 12 hours and I have tried everything from installing the patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement, to installing the NullCPUPowerManegmenmt.kext. I even installed the AppleACPIPlatform Rollback to see if that would fix it and nothing I have done at all has fixed it. As mentioned before I can boot as long as I use the nv_disable=1 flag but it would be nice to use this at a nicer resolution. Also I do have drivers for my GPU (GTX 750ti) installed and it is detected correctly by the system. I am completely stuck and I have no idea what else to try so any help would be much appreciated! Image of where I get stuck: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4ZVlmeZ7NFnUnlRMHloNURPSGs/view?usp=sharing Thanks in advance!!
  6. nVidia card detected but problems with resolution and glitches sup Finally I got Hackintosh working dunno how actually I tried several copies and distros I even tried Mavericks thinking downgrading would solve some problems. anyways desperately tried Niresh Sierra the result got my soul back to my body I got everything working I'm posting actually from my hac right now .. though nVidia card is detected and recognized but still resolution stuck in 1280x1024, my screen resolution is 1920x1080. http://i64.tinypic.com/2ujjx2b.jpg http://i64.tinypic.com/33lnw3k.jpg Also There is Graphics glitches everywhere like the driver is never installed, you gonna see and totally understand from the photos.. http://i65.tinypic.com/2ldho2u.jpg http://i64.tinypic.com/znlfnc.jpg
  7. Hey guys, I've recently installed 10.10.1 Yosemite Zone on my old LGA775 MSI G31 Motherboard. Everything works hunky dory. App store is good, Audio, and ethernet works (internet has some hiccups where I have to Remove and Add my Network Interface every reboot to get it working). But my problem is regarding my Display. 90% of the time I start my Hackintosh, I can only see a maximum of 1280x960 resolution. My monitor is detected as SANYOLCD_24K50. However, there are rare times where I see my available resolutions go up to 1080p. Whenever I get these 'golden' settings, my monitor just say VGA Display (meaning my monitor is not detected(?)) Screenshots posted below. I don't know what or where the problem is. Of course I want to be able to see all available resolutions. How do I do that? Attached is my Chameleon settings. Can anyone tell me what's wrong? TL;DR: Sometimes I see high resolutions in my Display Preferences, most of the time I'm limited to 1280x960. I use a VGA cable and my GPU is GeForce 210. What's causing it? P.S. Holding down Win button and clicking Scaled just bumps it up to 1280x1024. I'm hoping to be able to get to 1600x1200 resolution. Thank you in advance.

  9. hello everybody , finaly i was installed my card graphic "ATI hd 5450" on yosemite 10.10 but only two resolutions are displayed on VGA: 1280x1024 and 900x800 the best display for my monitor is 1600x900 60h, how can i add this, please guide me thanks ..
  10. Hello everyone, and thank you for opening and reading my thread! Allright, I'll get straight into the point: I have successfully installed Yosemite on a 2nd hard drive in my pc (I must point out that I installed a distro of it that included Chameleon), but as soon as I launched it I got a REALLY crappy graphic, with wrong resolution and major graphical glitches (PS: also it was really slow, frames per seconds like a power point presentation). I tried to install random stuff with MultiBeast (I'm kind of a hackintosh noob) but none of it seemed to be working. So, googleing online I found out that my video card, the AMD Radeon HD 6700 series, is unsupported. BUT, I found out that with clover I can (if I got it right) "fake" the DeviceID of my video card so that macintosh believes that it is a similar video card, but this time supported. I already tried a few IDs but none of them worked; so my question is: Which FakeID should I tell Clover to run in order to have a decent graphic? and also Would any of you guys kindly re-explain to me how exactly to do this FakeID trick? Because it may be that i'm missing something. By the way: this is my video card (viewed with Speccy) And this is my motherboard (in case it is needed)
  11. Hi everyone! Yesterday I decided to install Niresh's distro of Yosemite on my 2nd hard disk. I was able to run the Installer and install it, but when I tried to boot it, the loading bar freezes at half. Tried to boot it in Verbose mode, and it turned out I got like 20 lines of jnl: b(1, 2): flushing fs disk buffer returned 0x5 So I tried to boot with GraphicsEnabler=No, and doing so I managed to enter Yosemite, but with a shitty resolution and a lot a major graphical issues. My hardware specs are: Now, I've read online that my graphic card isn't supported, but I've also read that someone has managed to get it working. Any ideas about what this could mean?
  12. I own a Surface Pro 2, 128 GB, 4 GB RAM. Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz 1.70GHz Installed RAM 4.00 GB (gave the Virtual Yosemite >2 GB) 64-bit operating system x64-based processor I can run Yosemite.Zone with minimal problems, the internet even works. But I am having difficulty changing the resolution from the default to my Surface Pro 2's 1920x1080 resolution. I accessed the 'Extra' folder on Yosemite, and changed the resolution in .org.chameleon.boot.plist. All I did was change the standard resolution to 1920x1080x32. Here is a screenshot of the chameleon file as is. (I also ran CMD as an administrator, allowing VirtualBox to handle this change. I can't remember the exact command I used, but it was one suggested by the internet). When I boot Yosemite normally, it does not load. I have to boot with the command "-v" or "-v GraphicsEnabler=No", and when I do so, the resolution is default. For what it's worth, here is my Yosemite Hackintosh specs. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
  13. I installed 10.9.0 maveriks (niresh distro) on my Sony VAIO. the main problem is that the video card is recognized but there is no graphics acceleration: no qe / ci and 1024 x 768 resolution. PC specifications: sony vaio model vgn fe-31h intel core 2 duo T5500 nvidia geforce go 7400 I would need to use logic x, and mainstage, but without appropriate resolution is impossible. Also have QE / CI would be the best but the thing that interests me most is the resolution. I hope someone can help me. Thank You.
  14. Hi everybody ! I'm new to Hackintosh, please forgive my newbieness. ;-) After one week, I've finally suceeded in booting my PC under Yosemite (with Yosemite-Zone.dmg before it has been reported as corrupted). I also tried Unibeast with Chimera (using a legit "Install OS X Yosemite.app") with no luck (I read that Chimera's IGPEnabler is broken with Yosemite) and MacPwn Yosemite (Clover) with no luck either as it just gives me a black screen when I try to boot Yosemite (even with -v in /Boot/Arguments of config.plist) and freezes on editing boot flags (both mouse and keyboard don't respond). So, with Yosemite-Zone (Chameleon), I used those boot flags (as described in this post http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/145699-asus-ux51vza.html, guy switching from Chimera to Chameleon and uses this boot flags successfully) : GraphicsEnabler=Yes IntelCapriFB=4 SkipNvidiaGfx=Yes dart=0 nv_disable=1 -v It boots successfully but with very slow graphics and poor resolution (1024x768). Mac OS indicates ("About this Mac") that I use Intel Graphics HD 4000 with only 4MB of VRAM. I tried to change IntelCapriFB to 3, 8 or 9, same result. As far as I understand, I can't use my Nvidia graphic card without disabling Intel Graphics (in fact, my BIOS doesn't have such an option...). First of all (before trying to install kext for ethernet and Audio), I'd like to have my graphics working in full native resolution (1920x1080) with a decent VRAM (boot flag GraphicsMode="1920x1080x32" doesn't have any effect). Unless it's possible to use Nvidia display?! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm about to give up but I love challenge. Thank you all in advance. 15. Hello everyone! So I perfectly installed mavericks on my laptop but after I reboot my laptop the resolution becomes weird and then I will install the “GenericBrightness.kext†using the kext wizard. Then right after the installation I will restart my laptop and then the resolution of my screen becomes perfect. But my problem is that I need to install the kext again for me to have the perfect resolution the next time I boot my pc. I am asking guys for help to those people who knows how to do a one-time install of the kext so that every time I boot my laptop it will automatically have the perfect resolution. I also have problem with regards to the BRIGHTNESS CONTROLLER & BLUETOOTH. I hope you can help me guys as soon as possible. Thank you in advance. God Bless. J
  16. Hello, how to fix the horrible automatic 1024x768 resolution screen makes a "compress" Because when I make in systems preferences there that resolution of 1024x768 .... While I like to have a resolution of 1366x768. Sincerely, 2quignot.
  17. Hi All, I have just started in the Hackintosh community to please excuse my ignorance: I have install Niresh successfully and everything seems to be working beautifully however I am unable to change the resolution from 1024x768. I ahve trawled the internet which suggests to edit the Chamelion.plist file in MacHD/Extras however I see no such file the only file I see is SMBIOS. I know how to change the virtual box resolution but this does not make a difference. My laptop resolution is 1366x768 is it possible to change Niresh 10.8.2 to this? Your thanks is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance. Dave
