  2. USB boots to black screen

USB boots to black screen I have an HP 17-x044ds with Intel Pentium N3710 (Braswell) with Intel HD Graphics 405, Realtek High Definition Audio, 2TB ST2000LM003 HN-M201RAD Seagate HDD, Insyde F.26 UEFI BIOS dated 6/5/2017, Intel Dual Band AC 3165, Realtek Ethernet, 1x8GB Stick of DDR3 A-Data ram. I created the Sierra Zone installer using TransMac. When I try to boot off the usb drive it just boots to a black screen and nothing happens, no errors, no blinking underscore, no flash drive activity. If I CTRL-ALT-DEL it does nothing but if I press the power button it shuts down. I tried booting it in legacy mode and it just reboots. I looked in the BIOS settings and the only option in there I can disable would be virtualization. So what is the issue?

  5. Screen goes nuts at first boot I can install Maverick or Yosemite without a problem. But when I boot for the first time, my screen goes nuts (as seen in the picture). At the point of selecting a Country it freezes and after 20 Minutes I get to the Desktop and only an external USB Keyboard and Mouse work. (USB 2.0 Ports used not the 3.0) I've tried with "GraphicsEnabler=Yes or No" and" IGPEnabler=Yes or No" as well as -x or -f. Notebook is a HP Elitebook 8460p with an SSD and 16GB of RAM. Any ideas for a fix?
  6. Black Screen on Boot

I am trying to install Yosemite on am Hp Pavilion 15-ab157nr laptop. I am dual-booting this with Windows 10. I created a bootable sub drive by downloading Yosemite-Zone.dmg and using TransMac to make it bootable on a 64 gigabyte flash drive. I shut the computer down, and opened the area where it shows my boot devices. I selected the drive and in boot flags I have enter many combinations of -X -v -F nv_disable=1 graphicsenabler=on cpus=1. When I click enter to start the boot, depending on the flags it may show tons of commands getting executed then a blank black screen or it may show the Hackintosh logo frozen on the screen. I don't know if it's incompatible hardware or if I'm doing it wrong or what. If you want to look at the hardware, however, it is a Hp Pavillion 15-ab157nr laptop. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!
  7. Hi everyone, finally I managed to have a successful installation of Niresh's Yosemite Zone 10.10.1 on my AMD configuration with this specs : Mobo: Asus M5A97 EVO r2.0 CPU: AMD FX6300 GPU: Sapphire Radeon r9 270x vapor x HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1tb Ram: 8gb 1600mhz corsair vengeance I boot with /amd npci=0x2000 -v and the installation has completed successfully but when the PC restarts and when I boot with npci=0x3000, computer shows me a grey screen with an infinite spinning beachball cursor. I can only enter Yosemite in safe mode whit boot flag "-x". I tried lots of boot flags include "GraphicsEnabler=No" and the result is always the same grey screen. I've set the uefi bios disabling Vtd, turning on AHCI and so on without result. When I boot in Verbose mode with bootflag "-v" the black screen with white signs shows me after PCI configuration : "Warning: IOPlatformPluginUntil : GetCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3a --Power management may be incomplete or unsupported" Please help me

  10. Hello, I'm attempting possibly my 5th attempt at getting OSX working on my computer, been at this for a couple years now. I've run through all the stages up until I get to the "Hackintosh Zone" loading screen and the bar wont progress. I've left it about 5-10 minutes on each custom kernel, they all get me this far. If I try without any kernel I get an instant reset and also weirdly "/AMDFX" apparently can't be found. I'm running a AMDFX6300 (so amdfx might be kinda useful). I have a UEFI Bois and whenever I disable CSM on restart my computer will in able it due to my graphics card. I was also unable to find an option for "XHCI" (which some bios apparently don't have) or an option for "windows type" or "wake up lan" I went through the entire bois checking every screen to be on the safe side as mines set out quite differently. Anyone got any suggestions? I'm using a Chameleon drive. EDIT Left it running for about 1-2 hours on /amd and /amd64 (I have a vague memory that last time I tried to do an OSX install /amd64 or /amdfx was the one I got the most progress with) still not progress.... UPDATE, I'm giving it a shot at doing Mavericks instead. I've managed to get to installing (so far will know soon how it goes) on the kernel amdfx... I am somewhat wondering why AMD FX is missing on the Yosemate version? Should I try re downloading it? Either way if Mavericks works I'm happy enough but I am curious why I couldn't get amdfx before on Yosemite.

  14. Today I installed Niresh's Yosemite 10.10.0 on to my blank SSD in my laptop. My laptop has a i7 3610QM CPU and an AMD Radeon 7670m 2gb dedicated GPU. I installed it from a USB drive and it seemed to go smoothly. Installation was complete so I rebooted, disconnected my USB and chose to boot from my SSD (the screen was a Yosemite screen and not a BIOS menu). It started to boot and then the screen went black and was fading between black, grey, and white. I could hear an introduction video playing in the background but I had no display. Please help me fix this problem! Cheers, Zac.

  18. This guide is intended for the Lenovo Thinkpad T430 with Intel Graphics HD 4000. We’ll be using clover (it doesn’t matter if standard, uefi or efi, and it’ll probably work with Chameleon too, but I haven’t tried it). PC Specs: Lenovo Thinkpad T430. Intel Graphics HD 4000, 1024mb vram, 1600x900 (but I also attached the required kext for the 1366x768 variant). Intel Core i5 Haswell 2.6 GHz. What works: Everything, except: Bluetooth (I think I found out a guide which let you set up it, but I didn’t really cared about it, as I wasn’t going to use bluetooth anyway). WiFi (yeah, it never works no matter which laptop you choose -except in some very rare cases-). Instructions: Install your OS X Yosemite distribution (I chose Niresh’s Yosemite Zone because of its native support patch for MBR, as I have a Windows 7 partition and didn’t wanted to mess with it). I STRONGLY advise you to choose a clean copy of it, with just Clover (you may find one over Kickass.so), in case you don’t need MBR support. It’s cleaner and gives to less headaches (although I have to say that this distro is pretty good). In case you opt for the clear way, you will also have to download the Clover installer package from sourceforge; and Kext Wizard. Now, do whatever you have to do to make a bootable USB drive, and boot from it, but, and this is important, if you’re using clover, and until I say something different, don’t boot directly, because you will be stuck at the black screen. This is what you have to do: Go to options in the clover boot menu (normally a gear that’s under the OS selection). Then choose Graphics (or something like that, I don’t remember). Deactivate InjectIntel, and in FakeID, write 0x????????????, being ??????????? random numbers that you choose, obviously, different than 0. This way the installer won’t detect your graphic card and use generic drivers. You will be at the installation wizard. Install it: If you’re using the clear way, do it normally. If you’re using Yosemite Zone distro, which is easier, choose to install Clover (standard if you don’t know what are UEFI or EFI) and, if you want battery percentage, look for the patch. It’s somewhere between all those options. Once the installation is completed, there are two cases, depending on the source of installation: The clear way: Boot again as stated previously (with the 0x????... thing) with your USB drive, but this time choose your OS X installation hard disk. Install Clover from the package you previously downloaded and with the default settings. The not-so-clear way: Your PC will have clover already installed, so just boot it up as stated previously (with the 0x????... thing). Now, use Kext Wizard (included in Yosemite Zone) to install the Kexts that are in Extensions. Also, put DSDT.aml in /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched. From the AppleIntelFramebufferCapri, go to the folder that applies to your resolution and install the kext inside it, but only the one that applies to you, not the rest. And... reboot. Voilà. You have you’re computer 100% working. Now, if you plug some headphones in it, you will see that there’s so much noise. To solve this, go to Settings, VoodooHDA and choose on the switcher on the left 2. Headphones (Black Left), and reduce Input Gain to 0. And that’s all. Enjoy! 19. Hello everyone, yesterday I installed a fresh installation of OS X Yosemite. I have: Asus Maximus Ranger Z97 motherboard Intel i7 4790K Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x8GB Gigabyte Windforce R9 280 3GDDR5 Graphics card OCZ 120GB SSD And 3 HDDs different sizes It seems to be freezing on a grey screen. I've used all of the following: -x /haswell npci=0x2000 -v -s (single user mode) and it just seems like it is not working. Can someone please help me ASAP... Thanks alot
  20. Hi everyone I'm new in the forum and English isn't my first language But i'll try to be comprensible. A week ago I installed the niresh 10.9 rrelease on my notebook HP Pavilion DV7 4320el. I used the flags "HP" and "-v" and everything was perfect. Then i installed the right kext for my Intel HD Graphics and i was able to use graphics application like QuickTime (i unfortunatly failed in making my discrete ATI mobility radeon 6550m work because my BIOS doesn't let me turn off the Intel graphics) After all I was really satisfied of my work, But yesterday i decided to test FCP on my system the problem was that my standard 10.9 version wasn't able to male the app starting so I decided to updating to 10.9.5. I didn't find any official guide so i took the one i saw in a post that was for a gigabyte motherboard But the steps where simples: i had to copy kernel and estensions folder with terminal Then install the 10.9.5 combo update downloaded from Apple store(the web site not the app) and restare with the various bootflags and move the copied kext and kernel. i followed each step But when i restarted the screen went grey with some coloured lines; at first i thought it was the known graphics problem so i did the procedure in -s to load the vesa acceleration But it were grey again. After a bit a saw something moving and i understood that there was my mouse pointer. So the problem is this(excuse me for the poem i wrote) when i start the system Even if i use every flags i know it start and works but the screen is totally unusable, i recognised the finder window But it'S really hard to use, allo to describe when i will able to i'll post a photo
  21. Hey, this is my first topic here, first of all i wanna thank Niresh for making this possible, installing and testing Yosemite, i've used your distro for a long time now, and i really appreciate the time you put into this, anyway, today i have a problem kind of a small one, well, to be honest i really don't like that big red Hackintosh Zone logo while loading, and really want to put the original logo instead, i know this is allot to ask, but i really want to original one instead of the Hackintosh Zone's Logo, Thank you for your understanding, and hope you help me changing this, Thank you and have a nice day, MLM
  22. White screen after boot

I've searched the whole net for a fix. Can't seem to find one. I'm new to hackintoshing, and I've never ever owned a hackintosh (I own several Mac computers). I have an AMD FX machine in which I installed the Niresh AMD Mavericks distro on it flawlessly by booting the installation with the "amdfx" appendix. The thing is, after the install I can't get the OS to boot. All I get is a white screen after the apple logo. I've tried all the commands I could find on the web, nothing works. I read somewhere that maybe the fact that I'm using a SSD drive could be the issue. Could you guys agree to that? If it is then it sucks bad because SSD drives rock. Anyways, any ideas on what could I do to get this party started? Thanks in advance!!!
  23. So my hardware specs are: CPU: AMD FX-8350 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-UD3 Graphic:Geforce GTX 670 (msi) Harddrive used on install: 596 GB Seagate So i just managed to get: https://www.hackintosh.zone/file/75-niresh-mac-os-x-mavericks-109-with-amd-intel-usb/ through the installation process. Trying to boot up now, i get the apple logo and the grey wheel spinning around when suddenly it all goes black and my monitor say no signal. When it comes to this i just have to hard reboot by holding in the power button. Any ideas what this might be and how i can fix it? I have no idea how to get out error logs but if you tell me how i can supply them to you. Sincerely
  24. AMD 7850HD + Color Issue

Hey guys! I just finished installing OSX Mavericks on my computer with the following specs: OSX Mavericks 10.9.4 Intel i5 3450 3.2 GHz Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Sapphire ATI Radeon 7850HD 2GB ASUS DRW-24B5ST My Boot list has the following flags: GraphicsEnabler = No PCIRoot = 0 UseKernelCache = Yes GeneratePStates/GenerateCStates = Yes Thanks to the immensely helpful guides on the forum, I finally have a working Hackintosh system. However, I'd like your help on 2 issues: 1. My AMD card shows up as AMD Radeon HD 7xxx instead of 7850HD. Using ioreg | grep ATY in the Terminal shows that the RadeonFrameBuffer is in use, instead of the proper one (Although I'm able to utilise the card fully with QE/CI as confirmed by the ripple test). I'm unable to boot with GraphicsEnabler = Yes and because of that the ATIConfig flag is rendered useless. If I boot with GE = Yes, I get the 0xdeadbeef (Memory Allocation Error) error. So if someone could suggest me a fix for this thing, it would be really helpful. Also, since I'm using an HDMI Connection, I think that the Audio might not be working because the FrameBuffer hasn't loaded properly, but if someone can shed some light on that as well, it would be totally awesome. 2. My display is having some weird colour issues. I've attached a couple of screenshots below. Basically, it looks like that the colours are bleeding. I don't know if it's related to the FrameBuffer issue, but please help me out on this one. Initially, when my Hackintosh wasn't detecting my GPU (7850HD), the colours were perfect with the spdisplays_display monitor. But after I upgraded to 10.9.4 (as it has inbuilt kexts for my GPU), this problem started. Here are the screenshots: I would really appreciate some help on the above issues. Thanks a bunch!
  25. Hello everyone! So I perfectly installed mavericks on my laptop but after I reboot my laptop the resolution becomes weird and then I will install the “GenericBrightness.kext†using the kext wizard. Then right after the installation I will restart my laptop and then the resolution of my screen becomes perfect. But my problem is that I need to install the kext again for me to have the perfect resolution the next time I boot my pc. I am asking guys for help to those people who knows how to do a one-time install of the kext so that every time I boot my laptop it will automatically have the perfect resolution. I also have problem with regards to the BRIGHTNESS CONTROLLER & BLUETOOTH. I hope you can help me guys as soon as possible. Thank you in advance. God Bless. J
