  1. Kernel Panic with voodooHDA - ASUS K451LB Laptop I installed Yosemite on my asus k451lb laptop. It has 4200u i5 processor (haswell), intel 4400 and nVidia 740m graphics, ALC233 audio. I installed with /haswell -no-zp bootflags. otherwise a kernel panic would happen where the microphone somehow starts to relay sound to the speakers Now after installation, whenever I install voodooHDA I get same kind of kernel panic. If I use safe mode then I can login, but there's no sound. Only if I remove the voodooHDA kext I can boot normally (no sound). I tried AppleHDA kexts, they dont work. If I add usb sound devices after booting, they work. But if i add them before booting, I get kernel panic . If anyone is interested in helping me, I can provide more information. Regards.
  2. Yosemite 10.10.1 Audio Issue

Yosemite 10.10.1 Audio Issue Hi all. I have recently managed, for the very first time, to get my Yosemite 10.10.1 Hackintosh working a couple days ago, ever since, however, I seem quite unable to sort out all of the Audio codec is Realtek ® ALC887, so off I went, testing every single corresponding piece of kernel extension to this codec, but the problem, of course, persisted. Later on I was tweaking my Bios and found out that my Mobo had some "Auto Turbo" mode enabled, slightly overlocking my CPU, I have disabled it (never been an overclock kind of guy) and then I realised that the Audio problem got even worse; Which lead me to a deeper research: BUS Speed and Busratio. I have seen some threads where people successfully got rid of this same problem by adjusting Busratio and stuff, I use Chameleon Bootloader, so try setting it through Chameleon Wizard would be ok, but as frustrated as almost every AMD user might be, I'm helplessly asking myself now: "Where the heck can I get some info on my CPU`s BUS frequency/External Clock?" all the information out there is for Intel. Anyway, I have come to a point where my research is stirring me nowhere, so I came to ask for some help, any attempt would be dearly appreciated. My Specs are: AMD A8 6600k 3.9GHZ Gigabyte GA-F2A55M-S1 with Realtek ® ALC887 8GB G.Skill Sniper Zotac Nvidia Geforce GTX 650 DDR5 1GB Corsair CX750 Power Supply 160GB SATA HDD running Niresh's Yosemite 10.10.1 with Chameleon Bootloader Notes: I'm trying to get this sound fixed with onboard Audio are not synchronised. Thanks in advance.
  3. So after running the initial Niresh Yosemite installation from USB, the computer restarted, and as it booted from the harddrive there was a horrible microphone feedback sound coming from the speakers. I used some blu tack over my Samsung laptop's built in microphone hole and it helped reduced it a lot. Unfortunately it wasn't enough because now, if I have the volume to the speakers set at 1/4 and up, I get horrible distortion. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have Max Input Gain as the default setting for VoodooHDA is an idiot! I now have permanently fucked speakers. If you are installing Yosemite Niresh to a laptop, I urge you to disable Voodoo HDA, by hitting Customise prior to installation.

  5. Hello everyone and thanks to Niresh for his great job! I Successfully installed Yosemite 10.10.1 and after restart I got my Lan and voice Completely Working. But My Speakers Right Channel is Broken and I Switch to Left By windows Sound balance setting to hear sounds without Noise. When I Put My output device in Yosemite to Analog (the last one) and change the balance setting to left nothing happens and I can still hear the noises. Generally When I Change Setting in Yosemite's Own Sound setting nothing happens but when I use Voodoo Setting , Changes take effect. But here is my question: Despite Yosemite Balance Settings Is not working for me , How can I Change Sound Balance With Voodoo and Put Balance into left? I Checked Voodoo for the option but such this option DOESN'T Exist! If i can Use Patched Version of AppleHDA which one should i use? If you wanted to answer Please help me completely! Excuse me for my poor english

  7. AMD problems...

I've installed Niresh 10.9 updated to 10.9.2 onto a Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H (rev. 1.3) BIOS F12f w/Phenom II X4 965 CPU 8GB RAM and a Radeon HD5770 1GB card with onboard graphics disabled in BIOS. It works, sort of... In browsers I noticed bad static in the sound output. I thought this was a VoodooHDA issue, and installed the latest 2.8.5 version, and tried MANY fixes, but nothing worked. Then I noticed that a song streamed on iTunes Internet Radio was clear, without static. I also noticed that within the browser, if a video was playing with sound that was static, it also was playing slower than normal speed. Bizarrely, if the mouse cursor was moved, the video would speed up to normal, and the static would disappear. This made me think it was a Flash issue, but I uninstalled Flash from Safari & Firefox, and disabled the pepper-Flash plugin in Chrome, and videos that were HTML5 also displayed the same static & slow play in all three browsers, but would speed up and sound normal when the cursor was continuously in motion. Normal MP3 sound fine in iTunes, and some videos in websites play normal, for example 24hoursofhappy.com plays perfectly. This static sound video slow speed effects latest Safari, Chrome, and Firefox, and happens with both Flash & HTML5, and is somehow connected to cursor motion. Also, Safari won't save any History between relaunches. I've reset Safari, and deleted all data. In System Preferences...>Flash Player>Advanced>Delete User Data, if I tried to "Delete all user data" I'd get an error message saying the data couldn't be deleted, and may be used by some other application. I said to reboot and try again, which didn't help. I wondered if there was perhaps a permissions escalation that was not allowing access to the Flash data files and the Safari history. Disk Utility>Repair Permissions doesn't show anything strange except that the mach_kernel file has an ACL that is not expected. I'm not sure which AMD 10.9.2 kernel I'm using, it's 8.3MB in size. I'd tried another one that had pink icons & graphics glitches, so I switched to this one which seems to work. Also, AppStore launches at startup every time even though there's no login item or launch daemon that I can find. About one out of every 5 boots the Setup asks about signing into iCloud with AppleID. HWMonitor is v.6xxx and an updater wants to install v6.5xxx which will not even launch if installed, but even if the "Skip This Version" is marked in the updater, it will always check every reboot, again seeming like a lack of permission to write the preference. Shutdown always works, but Restart won't complete and the CPU temp will run higher & higher after a Restart command until I manually force Shutdown. Any help would be appreciated. ======================== Here's the Geekbench 32-bit score data: Platform: Mac OS X x86 (32-bit) Compiler: GCC 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5484) Operating System: Mac OS X 10.9.2 (Build 13C64) Model: Hackintosh Motherboard: Apple Inc. Hi, this is the Audio. It's a VIA HD 2021. I don't know if it works in another VIA chip, if you want, give it a try. Edit 03/01/2014: Now every port is working. Front and back Audio (I'm working on this)
